Batistuta to be called Vs Germany

The Argentinian press are saying that Batistuta will be called tomorrow for the friendly match against Germany in 2 weeks, this doens´t mean he has won the place against Crespo, since the latter is injured, also caniggia will be called and Saja, because Burgos is injured(yes another one), Veron could be out of that match depending on his injury.

Bati and Cani
Hmm sounds like old times :)
Who do you think will win the race?Crespo or Batigol.

Personally,i think that they will both have chances.Or they will play one half each other or one game each other.Depending and on the results of the team.

I think that they will share the spot, playing halves each, or playing every other game....
cniggia is backkkkkk..!!! damm so good to hear that bielsa calling him upp:D :D

i swear  this is the third time caniggia calls up. thats means he is the chosen one..!!!!!;)

zanetti and ca***** same speed, same stamina and same creative on SH position...!!!! love to se them both:) :D
As long as CAni makes the squad i'm happy we can do great things at the world cup, as for Bati i think this is a good time for him to hit form :D what better time than before the world cup :)

We've talked about the possibility of playing halves before, but don't believe Bielsa will use one of only 3 substitutions just to give these guys playing time. He will keep his substitutions for tactical or injury reasons--not to pacify some star's ego.

Yes, I saw that poll, but only one vote counts--that of Marcelo Bielsa.
Thats true and if Bati wants to start he has to start bangin em in and has to start with germany. But i don't really care no more who starts as longs as we win :)

Anyone whose got a problem with this can PISS OFF
Humbird, it seems you´d rather have Crespo as a starter than Batistuta, our greatest legend since Maradona, kind of weird considering that you are a Viola fan.....
I think that all of us Argentina fans have great respect and admiration for Bati but I think that Bielsa might select Crespo for two reasons. Firstly, even though Crespo hasn't had the best of seasons he has been in better form then Bati.

Form is an influential factor from a players perspective for both physical and psychological reasons. Secondly, in Bielsa's tactical structure Crespo's presence gives our attack a bit more mobility and dynamism. This is key and this point was evidenced during the WCQ's.
I'm not too sure i reckon If Bati performs against Germany he may well start but because our group is so tough we will have to rotate peopl anyhow, for example players will ahve to sit out some games like it or not it will happen. As for subbing them ar half time thats silly unless an injury occurs or the coach decides we need more attack and plays em both it shouldn'tbe done like that !
Batistuta and Caniggia together again waooo, move over Crespo and Lopez, this pair has given us many glories in the past even titles, it would be so awesome to see the back again, the thing i don´t like about Crespo, him being a great CF and all, is his abbility to not show in the big games(Brazil, Paraguay, even with Lazio, not counting friendlies like Italy), Batistuta on the other hand has done well against some big teams(scoring in Paraguay), i would hate to lose in a semifinal against France just because Crespo can´t score against big teams.
and remember no matter what shape or form bati is with his club, every time he puts on the albiceleste, he does GREAT:::
I think it's a great time for Batigol to get a call up. He will have a chance to get back on track. There is no doubt he performs great whenever he is wearing the argentine shirt, so like many others, I will be expecting at least a goal from our GREAT BATISTUTA:D
Hell yeah i expect a couple of goals at least and some devastating link up front betwen BAti and CAni i want both them to start :D
the whole list is beautiful if we except CHAMOT....why the hell he has to wear the jersey again........with my whole respect to chamot....but his time is over...bielsa...please understad....

good to see Quirga is called......

anyway..I will see if Dubai TV ganna broadcast the match.....
Yeah, everything is great except Chamot, why does Bielsa insist on him, is beyond me, he shold try some local defenders, i bet he may find someone better than Chamot, El Fantasma...

Very important point IMHO Czar.

Perhaps a related point:

Mobility and dynamism = tactical flexibility.

To start with Batti will limit the teams on field strategy (a la Roma).
