Weve got some good B team players and i would like to see this forum with an official Barca B thread. Barca have qualified for the group stage after the league so i thought we could all keep up to date with the happenings if the B team.

Today barca b played zaragoza b coincidently a day before both the A teams played. However With the league standing as barca b first one point ahead of zaragoza b this match would be a major factor in the placement of first and second.

Barcelona B 4-1 Zaragoza B
Great performance from Barca with star performances by Iniesta, Babangida and trashorras.
These three were amazing with babangida scoring two, trashorras scoring one and iniesta controlling the middle of the park.

Well this puts us 4 points ahead with 4 games left (i think)

Yes, it was a good match. But this is still maybe the weakest Barça B for ages so I still don`t understand why so many want to overrate them all the time. Only Iniesta will have a future in Barça.

I made a offical Barça B topic before, but it wasn`t many replies in it so it has been lost somewhere.

I think Barça B are the champions. I saw them celebrating after the match. It was a bit sad to see them going round the pitch looking delighted on that stretcher cart in front of only 500 people.
The hard part comes now with the group play offs because only the winner gets promoted. Last time they got promoted was against Real Madrid B in the Bernabeu. Van Gaal caused a scandal by openly celebrating and shouting in the directors' box (something which was never done until Gaspart came on the scene). He even stood up like a normal fan to cheer in the goals.
It looks as if he's back in time.

anyways tomarrow van gaal is discussing whos going and coming and whos getting promoted from the b side.

Don't know about televised games. According to "El periodico", Babangida, Fernado Navarro (the left back), and Motta will be the players that are going to be pormoted next year to the first team. I hope that Iniesta has a slice of the action too.

Still though, GJ, Iniesta is so young, it deffenetly wouldn't harm him to play in the segunda if we manage to get there. Then he could play a few games for us aswell, like Motta did this season .

He just turned 18. Well he is young, but "stars" are precocious, and Iniesta is said to be the real deal of Spanish football.

well at 18 i say we should promote him. sure hes young but if someone like casillas can handle a champions league final that age so can iniesta. no doubt van gaal knows his talent and if the great guardiola admits hes gonna be better than him its obvious hes something.

i think the problem maybe is his strength because he is weak but as his technique and skill improves this wont be a problem.

What I don¨'t understand is, why aren't people demostrating against the sale of Arteta. This lad has proven himself for PSG, so I guess he's good enough for the bench at least for us. Why are we selling this amazing talent?

they say that they want to concentrate on the promotion and iniesta is playing today for the u-19 against macedonia i think.

well in the promotion atleast we know these two will be up for it and try to secure a promotion.

Barça B nearly got a good result in Valencia, winning 2-1 but there was an equaliser in the last minute. I've only seen bits of the match and don't know the scorers. Barça were attacking all the time and Roberto and Baba looked really good, as did Iniesta.
I think there's been some trouble with the ref because the players surrounded him at the end.

barca fully deserved the win but a poor refereeing decision at the end cost barca the win.

in the other game merida one 1-0 at home against compostela. next game barca have merida at home so they really would need a win there so murcia dont get an early advantage.
