Frankly, all these teams are pretty darn shite, so ultimately the winner is the one who's the least shite of them all, and maybe, just maybe, Kalev is less shite than Honka.

And yes there's quite a few Japanese scattered around in these minor European leagues :D remember the Latvian club Gulbene which had a couple of them.

TBH I couldn't care less about those Russian clubs from the East: Narva, Sillamäe, Kohtla-Järve etc...they have Russians/no citizenship players mostly so they provide no players for the NT and their impact is mostly negative: they embarrass Estonian football with their match-fixing scandals (which they especially like to do in UEFA competitions)

I don't mind one bit if Honka wins this...

Just checked uefa.com and if Kalju manage to defeat Fram, their opponents in the 2nd round of qualifying will be Lech Poznan. End of the road?

Likewise if Kalev see off Honka, their 2nd round opponents will be Russian outfit Krasnodar. Certain defeat.

If Tartu Santos were to upset Tromso, their 2nd round encounter looks doable - either Faroese Vikingur or Latvian club Daugava. But obviously that's a pretty big IF...

Santos has no chance whatsoever

Kalev is also very unlikely to progress

Kalju should be able to do it vs Fram although no chance vs Lech.

Levadia of course has to beat the San Marino club...Sparta Praha in the next round is unwinnable.

If they don't qualify vs a Sanmarinese club then the time has come for our clubs to officially quit European competitions :err:

HJK drew Macedonian club Rabotnicki. This is what their coach had to say about the draw:

Igor Angelovski, Rabotnicki coach
The thorough analysis of HJK Helsinki is yet to come, but our initial assessment is that they are strong outfit. However, we are capable of surprising them and qualifying for the next round. I predict two closely contested matches.

Alan Gasperoni, La Fiorita president
We certainly weren't particularly lucky with this draw. Levadia are a very good side so we will have another difficult task. However we have built a squad able to compete. Our objective is to play two good games; we are San Marino's champions and want to represent our country in the best possible way.

Tonight is the big match between Levadia and La Fiorita. It'll be a good way to pass the time until the Belgium/USA match kicks off, anyway. Hopefully Levadia manages to avoid embarrassment.
