After seven years in the Giallorossi jersey Abel Balbo has left the Italian Capital for Boca Juniors.
The former Argentine international said goodbye to his Roma teammates today and emptied his locker at the Trigoria training ground.
Balbo, who was once captain of the team and has also featured for Udinese and Fiorentina, will fly out to South America at the weekend in order to sign a new deal with Boca Juniors.
The 35-year-old striker has already rescinded his contract with Roma, which was originally set to expire in June.
He’ll be able to play in the Copa Libertadores with his new side and may make his debut on April 24.
