Hey,some new from the greek press.

Aston Villa is ready to make a firm bid for Dundee's Greek full back Tasos Venetis. The left defender who can also play at midfield is a regular at the U-21 Greek squad and is considered one of the hottest young talents.Venetis is 20 year old and used to play for Greek Second Division outfit Larissa before moving to Scotland and Dundee United for £140,000 last summer. The transfer will cost £1,7.

He has some talent and he has been impressive for the U-21 team but I dont think he is able to be a starter at Villa. This is the key,if you want a starting 11 player,he is not your man,but if you want a nice young back who will not complain at the reserve tema and bring him genlty into the first team he will be more than decent,

Sounds like he could be a man for the future....but the problem at Villa is that we buy players like this and they just remain in the background until we sell them to lower division club or to a club in Turkey! But I think we should give it a shot! :)
