A lot of the same old faces but good to see teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, heck even Myanmar, India etc being represented in the group phase next season. :D Wonder how competitive they'll be, though. The Thai clubs will be alright but I'm more in the dark about the teams from Malaysia and Singapore for example. Though I had a look at the squad list of Johor and they've got a former Argentine international on their books, seems they've got a bit of cash to spend.

It's hard for me to say because I rarely ever see matches from the J or K-leagues for example. But the J-League is generally considered the best league in Asia, and the most competitive. Quite a few Japanese clubs seem to feel the ACL is beneath them, and don't take it that seriously in comparison to the J-League. Chinese clubs have had more success lately in the ACL than Japanese clubs, for instance.
