What do you think Arsenal offered? 10 mln?

well it can't be more than 10m because we don't have it :(

isn't he a left wing though ?

we already have Pires there, the only position we need is a second striker, does Van Persie have the ability to play in this position?

Absolutely gutted if this takes place. Sol Campbell in 2001, :yuck: Van Persie in 2004. I can't believe it :howler:

Immensely gifted player which a great left foot and very skillful too. Also powerfully built so he should fit in the premiership. Make no doubt about that. :)

Can play in the hole and on the left but he prefers the middle. Also nicknamed the Maradona of Rotterdam though that's obviously going a bit far.

He does however have a suspect temperament and it doesn't take a lot for him to start sulking

With van Persie gone, we have no future to build on  at least in the next 2/3 years since he is by far the best talent we've produced in the last 5 years. And with 10 million we'll probably waste it on 5 foreign donkeys knowing how the club is run

No need to apologize  ;) merged the topics btw

With van Persie gone, Smolarek will almost certainly be a basis player with probably Lurling/Buffel or Kuijt on the right. We actually do have enough alternatives but none are yet match winners like Van Persie. Only Buffel and Lazo (in the future) can become one imo in the future. The others we have aren't really top class (Smoli, Kuijt, Lurling)

6.5 million would be a bargain for Arsenal btw. Thankgoodness Jorien didn't accept it

we are linked with allsorts of players,i wouldn't be surprised if Feyenoord dreamt this up in order to spark a bit of interest from other clubs. ;)

with United paying all that for Saha maybe they are hoping Fergie will gazump everyone by paying some preposterous amount like he did for Ronaldo. :D

could be since he was supposed to have contract negotiations about extending his current contract which runs out in the summer of 2005. We'll need to sell him now too if the talks haven't materialized or we'll once again make the same mistake like with Emerton who we sold with only 12 months to go on his contract  (a year earlier we could have got 8 million pounds from the Toon instead of the 2 we got from Blackburn)

well at least Feyenoord aren't as thick as the Spurs board  :howler:

so van persie would rather and sit and warm arsenal's bench for the rest of the season and up coming years than be the star at feyenoord? pretty insane
besides, what has vpersie shown at feyenoord apart from a couple of nice schimmies, scissors, and stiffies :D ??? fuk all, that's what.
this guy isn't even ready for a team like tottenham or wolves yet

he will get playing time almost immediately if he comes, because we have an injury crisis with forwards. ;)

Anelka hadn't shown a lot when we signed him, within two years RM were paying us £23m for the sulky sod.

Van Persie isn't a complete nobody as you're making him out to be :D

He was the guy who assisted two of our goals against Inter Milan in the semis of the UEFA cup and last season he had a very good second half to the season. Biggest problem is just like with many other Dutch players and that is themselves  their heads are to big for their shoulders. Wenger will need to take extra pedagogic lessons to brush up his skills since he can be a bit of an Anelka

Read btw in de telegraaf that you offered 5 million euros and that we want 7 million. Thing should be sorted out soon .

the thing with Anelka is he was a quiet shy sulk, this Van Persie just seems arrogant and cocksure,we have many players like that already :D

if he can out arrogant Henry he can go far

Nah no brothers :D only his goodself and his dad.

Henry is the only arrogant player though isn't he? Pires a little but they won't demand Wenger to do things against his will etc. Still listening to Van Persie interviews will be a lot more entertaining than hearing Michael Owen give his views :howler:

no,none of our players would disrespect Wenger, even Anelka wouldn't do that. ;)

is the Feyenoord Coach a bit of a stroppy git?,i'm just thinking maybe he doesn't handle the kid properly.

if he is a good man manager and the kid is still a spiteful little lairy "charlie big potatoes" i don't see much hope for him at the Arsenal, where they see themselves as a family ;)

Vieira,Henry and Bergkamp wouldn't take too kindly to a 20 year old coming in and start trying to have a hand in team affairs and tactics,i wouldn't have thought.
