Kennet Andersson knows that he is no longer wanted at Bologna, even though he had expected to remain in Italy next season. Consequently, he is now relying upon his agent to help him to fix up a transfer to a new club.

"Kennet thinks Arsenal is a good and interesting club, and he will travel to London to discuss terms with Arsenal representatives this week," Andersson's agent revealed.

"He has also got a nice offer from Fiorentina and, within ten days, we will decide where he will move."

Andersson, who would cost around £2.5 million, would certainly present Arsene Wenger with a different option in attack, and his abilities at a target man are likely to be well suited to The Premiership.

Following the departure of Davor Suker, almost certainly to West Ham, Wenger needs some striking cover, and the experienced Swede fits the bill perfectly.

Now they have it seems......

Kennet Andersson has revealed that he is still unsure of where he will be playing next season and is still waiting for firm offers to come in for him, with a move to Arsenal now looking unlikely.

Andersson has been expected to leave Bologna this summer, and has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Fiorentina and Marseille, but said: "I have no offers to consider.

"My agent spoke to Arsenal on Tuesday, but I got the impression that they weren't interested.

"It could be Marseille, Arsenal or even Bologna for me next season."

Why Owen

Ok Owen would be great but hey! we got Fredrik Ljungberg and he can play as a very attacking midfielder position
Then we can give him a free role and he can run throuh the defence and...SCORE!!!
