·Kennet Andersson knows that he is no longer wanted at Bologna, even though he had expected to remain in Italy next season. Consequently, he is now relying upon his agent to help him to fix up a transfer to a new club.
"Kennet thinks Arsenal is a good and interesting club, and he will travel to London to discuss terms with Arsenal representatives this week," Andersson's agent revealed.
"He has also got a nice offer from Fiorentina and, within ten days, we will decide where he will move."
Andersson, who would cost around £2.5 million, would certainly present Arsene Wenger with a different option in attack, and his abilities at a target man are likely to be well suited to The Premiership.
Following the departure of Davor Suker, almost certainly to West Ham, Wenger needs some striking cover, and the experienced Swede fits the bill perfectly.
