was the most exciting player i have ever seen, simply unstoppable. I was sure he was on his way to becoming the best player in the world, like Ronaldinho or Zidane before him.

Hasn't quite worked out that way.

No. He just runs with a ball. No skill whatsoever. Can't be named in the same sentence with Ronaldinho in terms of talent. Maybe Zidane

At that point, yeah. Absolutely sick. He hasn't been close to it since, even when he's been playing quite well.

Yeah I always said this.
Robben in his day (he's not even old) was a top 3 player in the World. It's a tragedy that injuries can ruin it this bad.

As Rob, even now he can torment defences.. But no doubt he loses a little step with each injury.

Robben is a quality player but he has lacked the consistency and strength to play consistently in recent seasons. He just seems to be injured too much, whether this is bad preperation or bad Madrid Physio's I dont Know. Still he is one of the quickest players in the world with the ball at his feet, technically he is worldclass and this talk of him having no final ball is rubbish as his final ball is consistently good. He is only 24 so if he finds consistency and stops the injuries, he can step up to be one of the worlds top wingers.

Yes, I agree with that.

Lacking consistency will always lead to... inconsistency.

Spot on again, millwall! :D

The guy was insane for Chelsea before he got injured, its a shame to see players who get injured and never scale the same heights again.
