Gloating in other teams' forums?

Did a Real fan start this topic and I'm mistaken?

To Dutch: nobody's a walking football encyclopedia, I guess you are free to post whatever you wish, but still, I guess your being a moderator means you want to keep this forum in some high quality standards. The Real-Barca rivalry is common knowledge, but still, after hearing del Bosque's comments and insisting on calling him and the rest stupid on a matter that has to do with the ChL format, which you obviously don't know in such depth as they do, does not really qualify as quality for your forum.

And also: what do you mean by writing "I don't think the Spanish Association will be ranked 4th next season...."????? Spanish Association was ranked 3rd THIS SEASON! If it had been 4th, there would have been only 3 spanish teams in this year's ChL! Only no 1, 2 & 3 get to have 4 teams. Take a more careful look: you were probably mistaken by the HOLDERS!!! hehehe

Better close this topic. Doesn't seem to be going at all well for you...

Hehe, yeah i hope that Dutch will find a way to cover up this topic....It desnt look good when a moderator post an arrogant topic and then he's wrong!

And to say that Real Madrid fans come here to celebrate? Just read the topic and the obvious mistake from Dutch FCB and understand that its hard to resist replying!

Something wasn't clear to me, so I asked it. Ofcourse I was a bit irritated by the CL-final, that's obvious, but it wasn't jelousy at the time. Just irritation. It appears there are many explanations to this situation. One says Barça is qualified, another says Barça isn't. The site of the uefa brings up another question. Will England (ranked 4th) get the Spanish 2nd ticket to the qualifying matches or what? Because that's still something confusing me....

About this topic and closing it:
I don't see any reason to do so. I was mis-informed, and therefore I wondered why Del Bosque said something. I wasn't trying to piss of Madrid-fans, and no one is disrespecting anyone or anything. No nonsense is being said here on purpose. So no reason to close it. In fact it's an interesting discussion: what's more worth: domestic league or a Cup of best teams in Europe, where half of the opponents is being eliminated by other opponents....
I think they're equal in importance.

Dutch FCB fan, there should be no confusion over Barça's status. They are qualified, they don't have to play the prequalifiers. I hope to put to rest this issue once and for all. If anybody has any questions on the qualification procedures or rules for European play, just ask me.

I was sure about that already (although it took a while... ;))

But I still had a question about the 2nd qualifying-round ticket Spain had: who will get it now? England?

I always thought you were one of the more sensible Barca fans Dutch so I was surprised that you messed up this time. Oh well I guess everything's been cleared up now. Del Bosque was right that Real had to win to make it to next year's competition. Barcelona, after finishing second La Liga, are in directly without having to pre-qualify.

I was wondering about the same thing you're asking Dutch. Who indeed gets that spot? (If you guys don't understand, here's the gist: La Liga's top four team's should have qualified but since Real Madrid are holders and one country can only have four representatives, the fourth-placer, Zaragoza is dropped. Now which league gets that spot Zaragoza vacated? That's the question.) I'm sure it's not England because, if that were so, pool_till_i_die would be in seventh heaven and screaming all about it. So guys, any of you know? Juanele?

P.S.
And according to UEFA's table, England's Premiership is only ranked sixth.

I quote: "Ok, saying that Barca will win next years CL was more hope than arrogance but what I consider as arrogant is coming into the FC Barcelona Forum and writing: "you will never ever in your lives match up to Reals history, pride, passion, class, style nothing....."
Ok, you won the CL, i already said congratulations, but i´ll never agree with you saying Real has more class than Barca."

I find this quite funny. There is no discussion here, Real simply are the more classy team, they have way more titles in practically every category or at leat in the ones it really matters, so why argue this? I know it's not nice to say such a thing in the Barca forum and I wouldn't have done it, but why do you argue it? It's a fact - I mean Barca will never even come close to our records. Sorry guys, but life is tuff. Play Hard :)

Yeah, Barca fans can try to put down Madrid as much as they wont but really 8-1 in european cups?

Barca havnt got a chance on that. But thats history. My argument is that Real has won the CL TWICE in a radius of 5 years. Thats tough....

ok, Labas, let´s talk about class.

To profit from a civil war and a fascist dictator to reach the top of it´s history.
Oh yeah,that is so classy!

Play hard, but not that hard.

Hoooooboy! Is this ever gonna stop?! I try my best to make this rare interaction between Madridistas and Barca fans as peaceful as possible but <sigh> why do I even try!

Labas and the Real folks, we won the Champion's League. That's good enough to drive home a point to the Barca fans. So can we please go on and relish this victory while they enjoy their second place finish in La Liga. (Nyork! :) )

And to mxpx. If you keep trying to dig into the past to tarnish Real Madrid's image, then that is really quite fascinating because Real Madrid's history is just what makes them a great club. Real practically invented the world's most prestigious club competition. Try looking for something as classy about Barca's past. Nothing. Nada. Nil. Now if you talk about the future then maybe you could have an argument cause you have many good young players in Gabri, Nano, Arteta. (Not that we lack in that category ourselves) But when it comes to the past, why do you even mess with Real Madrid? There's just no questioning such a glorious history.

I agree totally with dwMB. We always did get along with eachother very well. Don't let the hatred come to this board. Yeah I was irritated when I started this topic, but most of all I was irritated because WE weren't there. I always defended VG's tactics, but even since he played 3-4-3 with Rivaldo behind the strikers, I simply couldn't anymore. Because of that stupid choice we were not in the finals, and that's what bothered me most. And if Real wins it in the end it's even worse for me. But that was just the reason why I expressed myself in that way. But what I said was only based on something (I didn't understood completely back then) that was a "fact". I don't like Real Madrid, but I still respect them as one of the greatest teams on this planet. I will never like Raul, but does that means Raul stinks?? NO WAY! Raul is a great player, but unfortunately for me he's a man in white. And also the other way around: Barça ended 2nd in La Liga and reached the semi's in the CL and the CdR. And how much you detest Barça, no one can say we stink. We are simply too good for that. You don't have to like the other team, but you have to respect it. With this topic I balanced on the edge, and some of you guys went over it.

dwMB> Usually I am one of the more sensible Barça-fans, that's true. I think it was all what has happened with VG and stuff. Nunez not accepting his resignment, his die-hard 3-4-3 with Rivaldo behind the strikers. It was too much for me... But I think I'm over it, so you won't read any of this kind of posts of me anymore... at least for a while ;)

Same thing here, Dutch. Real Madrid is the one club I will always support. And if you support Real Madrid, it's almost automatic that you detest Barca (we have an exception in r&bfan of course). But that hatred doesn't make me blind to talent. I will never be a fan of Luis Figo nor Pep Guardiola, much much less FC Barcelona, but there's no denying that they are great footballers and that Barca is a great team.

Now isn't that that how all of us Real Madrid and Barcelona fans feel? We support one club and absolutely hate the other (except r&b of course) but we all know that both teams are worldbeaters and worthy of respect. So please none of those fascist and other tales from the dark side kind of comments because it is really disrespectful to deface a football club for matters that are beyond the world of football. If you're a Barca fan you don't have to express your hatred for Real Madrid in this forum or our forum. We already know. Same thing for Real fans (and some of us including me have been guilty in the past).

Phew! That was...mushy! Now onto the question that was left unanswered. La Liga's fourth-placed team Zaragoza is in the UEFA Cup because only four teams from one country can enter the Champion's League. Now to which league would that vacated spot go to? One of us ought to know!

Yeah, you´re right
Mentioning things like the civil war was probably sort of crossing the line.
And i suppose this is not the right place for discussing such dark sides of history.
So, let´s just say: no matter the history, both Real and Barca are pretty awesome teams which both deserve a lot of respect.
But, as a Barca-fan i consider it as normal, that i think that Barca has more class (cause it´s the truth).

hm...anyway, considering the vacant spot in the EC.
I heard something that the champion of San Marino will get a place in the European Cup. But i have no idea if this is an result of the vacant spot of La Liga.
well, I just heard that

This topic turned fast!

Looking at next season instead of discussing the past then.
Real might have do something they havent done for a long time...Keep their squad and coach intact. And this squad has SO MUCH QUALITY that i am 90% sure that Real will break Barcas hold on the liga (not counting Depor).

For Barca, its the other way around. Lots of changes ar egoing to happen and its 50/50 that things will turn to good.

What do you think?

After reading Mpx's last post I have simply come to the conclusion he is an IDIOT and there is no point discussing anything with him. If anyone wants a good laugh, than please do read his last post. A little kid, with no idea about anything it seems :) hehe

Anyway i agree with you dwMB and you Dutch and hope we can have a peaceful relationship, like always :) (we're still the better team, hahaha, I was just trying to imitate MpX there, sorry, it was a bit of a joke, hehe :) :) :))

You just be happy you're still here Mpx, because if you ever try any of this crap in Real Madrids forum, I will ask Jan for you to be banned. You obviously have no brains.

ROTFLMAO!!! ROTFLMAO!!! hahaha that was really great Carlos Miguel. You really wanna talk about class I see. Well I'll tell you something - if you wouldn't be such a diehard Barca fan you'd also see your friend Mpx has no brains. Just read his commens for cryn out loud! I don't care he has an opinion and it has nothing to do with the class thing - what got me pissed was, everyone had come to a peaceful resolution (many thx to Dutch) and he comes along and sais: I quote:
"So, let´s just say: no matter the history, both Real and Barca are pretty awesome teams which both deserve a lot of respect.
But, as a Barca-fan i consider it as normal, that i think that Barca has more class (cause it´s the truth)."
CAUSE IT'S THE TRUTH! OK, he's entitled to his opinion, but why add, cause it's the truth! It's like a child fiddling around and trying to get an argument going. Really funny.

And now since you guys started it I'll tell you how classy Barca's fans are --> Cl semis , clearly the worse team and you whistle out everysingle player on the field, especially Zenden! Is that class? No siryy! That is complete bull, everyone here in poland had a very long discussion on this matter and we came to the conclusion Barcafans are just farmers, complete ********, who can show no respect to their players. And you dare talk about class Carlos? Really low :(

I agree on that the Nou Camp crowd are spoiled brats that expect Barca to win every match 4-0. Thats really annoying because that s impossible. Seems like most Barca supporters dont really have that club spirit, they just expect "their" team to win.

On the Real side, its a bit of the same. They have great expectations but i think they have for feeling for their theam then the Barca supporters.

And Carlos and MPx, I dont agree with you, but i hope you will stick to your opinions, or else you are just simple idiots, just like Labas says.
