With Cambiasso and The crippled one both injured and Javier proving to be better in defence, we're definitely lacking in the CM department.

Appiah's pros are plenty: a free agent, experience in Serie A, international experience, a capable CM who is a good all round footballer, a leader, 27, Sulley's bud..

And we can sign him now if we want to.

I guess Jose didn't want to disrupt the defence so he kept Chivu-Cordoba as it is til the end.

I'm Dacourt's biggest fan here but Appiah's a much better player. Someone who not just works hard and is solid defensively but a footballer who can add to our midfield.

Chelsea signed Mineiro (sp?) because of Essien's injury, so it's not like this is a transfer idea I pulled out of my ass (well, we're not linked to him to start with..so in a way I did pull it..but you get what I mean.)

Let's all hope Cambiasso's injury is minor though, if not then Appiah would be a good idea imho.

He hasnt played for an year due to injury, but he is still probably fitter then Vieira

Honestly Jose and our medical team should take a look at him, if his injury hasnt done too much harm - it should be common sense to sign him.

Actually he played against Libya, coming on for the injured Essien.

my friend i believe esteban will be back soon but i dont like appiah, we have many defensive minded players.. it is upsetting to see milan on the verge of signing a creative class player like beckham while we are thinking about the reject of some turkish club
we are the champions and real contender in the cl, roma is a joke and juve luck will run out. we should sign players who play according to this level and high expectation.

Well, both Cambiasso and Gramps are out, and if we take into consideration Stankovic and Dacourt's age and injury history - then we don't have that many players there at all. And Appiah isn't a defensive midfielder, anyway.
