Oh my god, If Kalamarias had a decent finisher we could have been 2 or 3-nil down by half time. Poor, poor performance today, Castillo managed to put in a rebound for the first goal in the 64' but we were praying that Kalamarias wouldn't score. Rivaldo finished off the match late in the game with a good assist and run by Castillo.
We're going to finish 3rd, no question about it.<sobs> :( :moan: :moan: :sob: :sob: :scared:

Apollon Kalamarias 0 : 2 Olympiacos

With goals in the 64' minute from Castillo and Rivaldo in the 89' minute, Olympiakos prevailed with a hard fought 2-0 victory over Apollon Kalamarias in the 36th matchday of the championship. Again, Olympiakos suffered with the usual bad luck hat has dogged it's season so far and couldn't manage to finish off Kalamarias with the chances created.
The first goal was created when Georgatos's shot on goal burnt the keepers hands, the ball flew out to meet Castillo who knocked the goal into the net for the advantage.
Kalamarias player Petkakis was red carded for a cynical foul from behind on Giovanni in the 73' minute. The second goal was created by a beautiful piece of skill by Castillo, he gained control of the ball on the halfway line by tackling one of the Kalamarias midfielders. He then darted directly towards the goal, ably dribbling past one defender. A simple backpass in the box found the unmarked Rivaldo who then took the ball to the left and converted his chance.
Plaudits should be given to Nikopolidis who saved a very difficult shot with his fingers in the first half from a close range shot, Pantos who deflected the ball off the goalline and was tireless in defence, Castillo who's flair and skill led to both goals and Rivaldo who was simply remarkable for the umpteenth week running.
