After this tournament I think the nordic teams need to reconsider their whole footballing philosophy if they want to play in WC 2002... Its no coincidence 7 of the 8 quarter finalists in the euro were south european teams.

Although

Sweden didn't play very well in Euro2000 they will get to the WC 2002,I'm sure. Because they want revange and they will take their anger out on the teams in the qualification group.
I'm sure Norway and Denmark will make it aswell.

Especially I'm hoping for Denmark, because they play a much more offensive football than Sweden and Norway.

And all the Scandinavian nations have some great talents, and they will make their big entrance in the WC 2002!!!!

Have a nice summer

Norway will reach WC 2002, they always seem to reach the big tournament, and theyr'e in an easy qualifying group.

They should change their boring tactics, they won't get far with the style they use now.

Norway will definitely be in WC 2002. They will bounce back after this miserable EURO 2000. The talent is there, but new tactics are needed for sure. The defensive tactics used in Euro were really awful and predictable.

I'm not so sure about Denmark though. For once Denmark have the least talented side of the Scandinavian teams. Denmark in earlier years have had the best talents. Sweden might have better chances. I think Norway and Sweden will make it to WC 2002.

Yes, its a pity the danes are having some rough times now. I've always found them fun to watch, and they are somehow just very likeable. I wonder if they will ever get a pair like the Laudrup bros again..

Sweden, Denmark and Norway, I'm sure they will make it to the tornament but I really hope they learned something from Euro 2000.
Norways boring football I have no cure for but I think Sweden should defenetly get a new coach. It's not sertain that will help but it can't get any worse.

Dear Mrs Nesta

There is absolutly nothing wrong with Lars-Tommy (the swedish coaches, we have two).
They have taken a lot of critic, but I think they have made their best. And most of all, they stood against the press and their opinion, that's strong :)

They took Sweden trough the qualification group in a fantastic way!!!!! The only match they didn't win was against England at Wembley, and the other teams in the group Bulgaria Poland and Luxembourg were beaten... :)
And of course the match against England in Sweden, we won
2-1, what a night!!!!

I think Lars Lagerbäck and Tommy Söderberg should stay, and they will :D:p:D

I dont think Sweden qualifyed very convincingly at all. Beating teams like Poland and Luxemburg with like 1-0 after enourmous difficulties. And England and Bulgaria probably had their worst form ever in history in this qualifying campaign..

That the swedish coaches stands against the press and dont admit their mistakes just shows that they are completely unable to take criticism and learn something from it. Come on, they actually had the nerve to say they thought Sweden played well in this tournament..

Despite this criticism I think they should stay on though, because the WC qualifying is not far away and its better to let them continue with their program. Probably they will fail miserably and that will be the end of them..

Dear ST

I agree that Sweden should have done better against Luxembourg, but Poland had a strong side, no doubt about it, I saw the match in Poland and Sweden live, and he poles did well, but the swedish defence wall was too strong :)
Sweden play in the tournament, I know that, and I think Lars-Tommy should have admitt that, but still the match against Italy was different, just bad luck... :(

And what do U know about if and how Lars-Tommy took the criticism:confused::mad::confused:
I think they will do a great job in the qualification and we'll win the WC!!!:D
Alright, maybe not win, but who knows....:)

I'm sure Lars-Tommy did their best. But look how far that got us. Söderberg commented the game aginst Turkey; -It was a good game.
I have seen Ljungskile play better games.

Against Italy I agree, they were very unlucky.
Another thing I don't understand with Lars-Tommy is why they didn't let Osmanovski play more.
Idiots.

Well yes, that was a misstake, not to let Yksel play, terrible, against Turkey I suffered when they let Svensson:rolleyes: and Anders Andersson play:eek:
They could at least played Allbäck or a attacking player...
Well I guess all coaches makes misstakes, but I think Lars-Tommy has learn a lot from this tournament, and it will make them and the team stronger.

And then will see Tommy's charming smile again :D

WC 2002, HERE WE COME :eek:;):cool:

Ok Cracker

I admitt he can be funny sometimes.:)
But his favorit expression "Wow" and his smile, doesn't exactly make me hate him less.

And he walks like a pinguin too, but that's actually kind of cute.;)
