Hapoel Haifa's former Croatian\Austrian\German\Yugoslav\Whatever nationality he was Michael Anicic had reportedly signed a deal with German side SC Freiburg, Anicic who left Hapoel Haifa before the end of last season will join the second division side who gained relegation in the past season as of the next season.

Why did Anicic leave Israel? I understand he wouldn't stay in a financially troubled club as Hapoel Haifa is but he could've signed with another top club. For example Beitar Jerusalem is looking for a midfielder.

Any chances of Michael Anicic coming back to Israel in the future?
