PSG MAKE £21M ANELKA BID

EXCLUSIVE
REPORTS on the continent suggest that Paris Saint
Germain have offered £21 million to Real Madrid for
French international striker Nicolas Anelka.
The former Arsenal hitman left Highbury for £23 million
last summer to move to Spain but spent much of the
season on the sidelines after numerous disputes with
the Bernabeu club, although he did return at the
tail-end of the season to play a part in their Champions League success .
He had been heavily linked with Juventus, but their interest seems to have ended
following the signing of Anelka's international colleague David Trezeguet.
However, it now seems that PSG have followed up earlier interest and made a
staggering £21 million bid to Real for the player to return to the Parc des
Princes, where he made a name for himself before being snapped up by Arsene
Wenger.
The player is known to favour a return to France, especially following PGS's
signing of his friend Peter Luccin, and, should Real accept the offer, he could
start talks within days and the troubled striker could be on the move again for the
fourth time in five years.
