PSG MAKE £21M ANELKA BID
by David Allen

EXCLUSIVE
REPORTS on the continent suggest that Paris Saint
Germain have offered £21 million to Real Madrid for
French international striker Nicolas Anelka.

The former Arsenal hitman left Highbury for £23 million
last summer to move to Spain but spent much of the
season on the sidelines after numerous disputes with
the Bernabeu club, although he did return at the
tail-end of the season to play a part in their Champions League success .

He had been heavily linked with Juventus, but their interest seems to have ended
following the signing of Anelka's international colleague David Trezeguet.

However, it now seems that PSG have followed up earlier interest and made a
staggering £21 million bid to Real for the player to return to the Parc des
Princes, where he made a name for himself before being snapped up by Arsene
Wenger.

The player is known to favour a return to France, especially following PGS's
signing of his friend Peter Luccin, and, should Real accept the offer, he could
start talks within days and the troubled striker could be on the move again for the
fourth time in five years.

That's really interesting, especially from a financial aspect. I mean, in that sense, how could they refuse? They recoup almost all that they lost.

I hope that if that were to happen it wouldn't mean a milosevic signing.

I couldn't agree more Pablo.

Anyway, who will take such a decision before the elections? Sanz? There's a lot of controversy over Anelka - sell him or retain him. Selling him might be a dangerous approach to the popularity contest...

I thought that losing him might win some popularity :D

Seriously though, I would guess that Pirri would handle such deals (though you know that Sanz would have to give his consent and run the deal from behind the scenes).

O boy, we have a serious problem people. Can anyeone really tell, what are we to do now? This sucks big time. We have the chance to get almost all our money back for a bad transfer, let's face it - it wasa bad transfer. But, there is now a big but - Anelka showed once or twice he can really be good for us, mainly against Byaern, and I really am in two mids what to do? Do we take the chance and sell a 22 year old star, and perhaps pay the price like Juventus for Henry?, or do we keep him, take one more chance? Oh, boy, this is one tuff decision and for once again I'm glad I don't have to decide. One thing I am sure though - if we use the money from the Anelka transfer to buy Milosevic - my answer is NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!:mad::mad: That would be just so, so so stupid. Nooo way Jose! Bring Zidane or anyone else for that money, but not Savo - he really isn't worth 23 mln $

It's really sad:( I mean poor Nicola$, I know he's a jackass, but his life ain't all that smoot either. What's even sadder is we have to make so much tuff decisions on a player who cost 35 mln $! My god, I'd be on the Canry Islands for the rest of my life..
