I'm new here, and i don't know the rules of starting threads, but this player deserves one:rollani:

I've been reading for sometime, & I recently read that we are linked with São Paulo's Versatile midfielder Anderson Hernanes...this is a player i been hearing about for quiet sometime, and i'm so glad that barca have registered their interest in him, cause he surely is the right man to fill Deco's boot & More.....

but it seems that that txiki and co are pulling the threads of this one in the shadows, away from the attention of big clubs, although São Paulo is aware of the intrest of Inter & Milan, Txiki & Co have made a first bid in the region of 10 million which was turned down by SP...all i can say is if we capture this guy ..it surely would be our summer!

after watching the likes of Moutinho,Hleb,VdV I honestly rate this dude above the rest for his mobility, technique and all around passing game.

Welcome to the forum Wade.

If Inter & Milan are interested then Hernanes has gotta be good. 10M+ seems a bit too much for him though.

well the price issue, is why there is a hick up in the transfer apparently this case is similliar to Teves's and Cacares's if im correct, where the club owns a percentage and a third party owns another percentage, the slow down in the transfer is aparently due to Sao Paulo not settling for the 10 million since it's probably getting 7 from it and wants the who ten million...i seriously hope this one goes through...

Those playing at the Euro's currently will cost us atleast 20 to 25 million, th characteristics of hernanes are the closest thing i believe to deco's and i honestly haven't been impressed by Moutinho, our 30 year deco showed why this new comer won't fill his boots...

I like what I've seen so far. He's a true ball winner, perfect timing almost every time he decides to go in and take the ball from the opponent. He has good technique, he runs box to box, has good crosses, a good shot etc. Still, we have two very good ball winners in Yaya and Keita, so I can't see how we need this player. Ok, he's young and probably need one season to truly adapt to Spanish football. If he is prepared to be a backup solution and rotate a lot his first season, why not if the price is right.

Great player!!
If you guys want to compare Hernanes with somebody of the Europe, the name is Pirlo.

Hernanes has the same role as Pirlo in São Paulo, and despite the guy has so much to prove in the world of football, and Pirlo being a champion, imo Hernanes has all the tools(more speed, best defender, shot) to be better than the great Pirlo. But as I said, it´s just my opinion.

The funny thing is: Both(he and Pirlo) were former AMD that had not shined, and thanks to a coach hint, had been transformed into a DM(and deep playmaker) and shined. Hernanes also played as Rb as second striker in his short carrer, and maybe this doubts about his best role on the field delayed his progress. The lad also works with both legs at the same level, and this is a great advantage...

Btw, here in Brazil they said Milan(I realy hope we buy this player) and Inter are after him, so maybe he goes to one of them. Great character, hard-worker and a humble person also, and if you guy buy him, congratulations!!

This boy will surprise many people aound the world...

There was a thread on Hernanes in the Brazilian forum. Anyway, whoever signs him would be acquiring a potential gem in midfield. He has good positional ability and technique, great at organizing play in the centre. I havent seen him enough to say if his best position is 5 or as an 8... in a double-pivot he'd work well alongside a proper ballwinning DM.

Despite his very promising potential, he's perhaps a player that Barca dont really need. I'd love to see him at Milan but then again we're linked to Miguel Veloso...
