SECAUCUS, NJ -- Red Bull New York announced today that Major League Soccer and 2007-08 Spanish La Liga runner-up Villarreal CF have agreed in principle to a transfer fee with Red Bulls forward Jozy Altidore. Altidore must agree to personal contract terms and undergo a physical with Villarreal before the deal can be completed.

Thank GOD he didn't sign for an EPL side.

La Liga suits him pretty well I do believe. Villareal isn't a bad side.

Perhaps he'll knock some sense into Rossi and get his ass to play for us.

Yeah !!!

Though I think the window for Rossi to switch allegiance has passed. I think the precedence he set is spreading, especially when you look at Mexico.

The game is so YOUNG here, so WE don't yet have a HISTORY to look back upon and very few VICTORIES to celebrate. WE can't as a "NEW SOCCER NATION" continue to loose young men with talent like Rossi and expect to take OUR game to the next level.
