Right now the Premier League is the best league. They got the financial advantage and they benefit from the fact that most other "big" clubs in Europe pretty much suck for one reason or another.

the EPL is the best league for foreigners. look at manure, they're lead by foreigners. arsenal, chelsea, liverpool all follow suit. a strong domestic league should be reflective of the quality DOMESTIC players they produce.

and last time i checked....

england weren't favourites to win the euros either :howler:

The importance of international football, relative to club football, is diminishing, I'd say.

Oh, and Man U's leading players were to a large extend produced in England... Rooney, C Ronaldo (sucked for the first couple of years, actually), Carrick, Rio.

...and their style is quite british, in its core.

No they don't, they produce a small portion of the world's best players and TONS of hyped nobodies that are considered good players. And their leagues are shit because they are piss poor and because they get taxed like crazy.
