What happened to Alex, who used to play in the Brazil NT? A young (attacking) midfielder who I think played regularly during their last Copa America win, and was used a lot by Wanderley Luxemburgo... I remember hearing swedish TV commentators say he was signed by Parma ahead of the 2000-2001 season, but I never saw a glimpse of him in Serie A and he doesn't seem to be in the Brazil squad for this WC.

Anyone know anything? Appreciate the help
