Agur to 14 years of history, Aitor is the 4th player with more minutes in the history of this club, only less than Iribar, Txetxu Rojo and Orue. Really surprising because he´s not what you can call a fantastic player but he´s always there, a hard worker, high concentration in each game, gives 101%. He was one of the best left backs of the league some years ago and has sent players as Lizarazu or Lasa to the bench. It was clear that lately Larrazabal didn´t have an important role in this team but I think he´s an important player in the changing room and does his work as substitute plus he´s the best penalty taker of the last decade in the league. Watching there isn´t a good left back in Bilbao Athletic (Valverde will put Casas probably) I think it wouldn´t have been a bad idea to renew him for one more year, with lower wages of course, it´s a pitty he won´t retire in Athletic.:(

But anyway, gero arte Aitor and ESKERRIK ASKO.:):proud: He has rejected a tribute game, will say good bye in San Mamés in the last game against Atlético. He has rejected a job in the foundation´s staff because he wants to continue playing, but Lezama´s doors are obiously open for when he decides to retire.

Games with Athletic: 441
Goals: 43

100% lion:fero:

Looks like Athletic´s players aren´t very happy with not renewing Larrazabal, I´ve already heard Karanka, Tiko or Etxebe against it.

Its unfair, he doesnt deserve this, im sure he could still play 2 years more. Once again Zubi shows his knowledge  and manners waiting until the end of the season to confirm that Larrazabal won't continue.

Very underestimated player in my opinion. Allways showed he had the ability, loyalty and fitness - But sometimes he seemed a bit useless on the left side of defence. I always thought he was best on Left midfield, but anyway...

Aitor Larrazabal : A Bilbao legend - Just as his name says.:proud:

Not a good news:(

This has nothing to do with Del Horno, right?

I will miss Penalty Kick Specialist :fero:

It has to do with Del Horno, when Asier´s agent broke the negotiation Zubi told Larrazabal he was going to be renewed. Then Asier renewed and this happens... It´s the same thing that happened with Bolo when Urzaiz said he wasn´t going to renew, the club can´t lie the players this way, they are demonstrating their word counts nothing. Larrazabal should have been renewed for one more year, he was promised that and IMO we don´t have a decent substitute in Bilbao Athletic. (IMO Tarantino needs one year loaned as LB, and I think Casas and Moya don´t have level for Primera) Ugartetxe & co, what a mafia.

About the penalty specialist, let´s trust in Iraola, he hasn´t missed a penalty in an official game, could be our next specialist, or Orbaiz, anyone except Urzaiz and Yeste!!:scared:
