well what a surprise for me to see him out there, taking the place of darius vassell with heskey moving forward Nick Butt came into the middle of the england side..

Its so good to see that nicky had a great game, Won ever tackle, perhaps went in for a few too many when some of those argentinians were diving and trying to get the english sent off.

For me he was englands 2nd best behind Rio..

So just like to say Cheerio aND cONGRATS tonicky butt when he reads this....

True he was good in both the games he played.It was nice to see him stabilize the English backline but playing that holding role marvellously.

Hope he can do the same against Denmark.

Yes! it's great he's getting games. At Manchester he's in the shadow of Keane(mainly) and in the England sqaud he's in the shadow of Gerrard, so its great that he can prove he is a great player on the biggest football stage of them all.
