Western Sydney defeated Guangzhou 1-0 in the first leg of their ACL Quarter-Final. Good result though the return leg will be very difficult. Maybe they can pull it off, as said, this Evergrande outfit is not the same without Conca.

Zlatko Dalic is still the manager at Al-Ain? Seems like they are doing a good job, hard to believe its a Croatian manager leading them to these successes :D

Western Sydney eliminate Guangzhou on away goals. It will be extremely difficult considering the respective budgets of the clubs involved in the ACL but would be amazing if an A-League club could win the comp. And to think that this is WSW's first involvement in the event, major props to them and Tony Popovic.

Bad blood in this tie Jeff.

After all that went on in the first leg heard that the Aussie coach taking the team to the ground was attacked.

Good result for WSW in the first leg against FC Seoul, 0-0. Decent chance for them to become the second A-League side to make an ACL final since Adelaide United who were dismantled over both legs against Gamba Osaka.

In the other game on the night, Al Hilal defeated Al Ain 3-0. Looks like Asamoah Gyan and co. won't be going all the way after all.

Watched the Shanghai/Jeonbuk and Red Diamonds/Ulsan games back to back. Surprised to see how little crowd support Korean teams got. Especially the second match was appaling. There were so many away team supporters compared to the homers.
