RANGERS manager **** Advocaat has slammed other managers in Scotland who have criticised the new format of the Scottish Premier League on the eve of the new season.
The Dutchman himself has been critical of the new setup, but he thinks that the other bosses, including Jim Jefferies of Hearts and Alex McLeish of Hibs, should have spoken up when the plans were announced and not now.

"Everyone knows what I think about the new league." said Advocaat, talking to the Daily Record. "Now I see other managers are saying the same things I said about it just when the league is about to start.

"They should have said it when I did but they always come too late.

"There's no sense in me saying any more now, we sent so many letters and gave so much advice to the SPL and the SFA about rules etc but they have their own rules now.

"Every time there was a coaches' meeting Bert van Lingen was there and everything was discussed but they had only one interest."
