Rooney? :wallbang:

I think Messi could MAYBE make Argentina squad though. Seedorf and RVN could both make Holland squads. Cafu, Roberto Carlos could make Brazil squads, probably Rivaldo too.

Also the people like Cech etc. who could make their NTs quite easily.

I think Gallas would be able to make an all French team and Rio Ferdinand make an all English team. For Portugal, we could perhaps add Carvalho and Pauleta.

Pauleta? JESUS H CHRIST Portugal have had terrible strikers.

Bwah..Pauleta is woeful.

RIVALDO could easily walk into the All time Brazil squad.
No, he really couldn't. No one could 'walk' into the squad, not Kaka, not Ronaldo... no one.

I would take no one from today for England's all time squad. Ballack has a chance for Germany, Khan. Messi as said maybe for Argentina, Ayala has a shot. Otherwise there aren't a lot of current players that can compete.

Rooney? In the all-time England team? As a striker? Ahead of Sir Bobby Charlton, Jimmy Greaves, Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer? No freaking way.
Rooney hasn't done anything as well as even Sheringham and Beardsley yet, as they are more the second striker that he is.

you forgot Lofthouse who was a goal machine also.

Rivaldo could get a spot on the bench as an attacking midfielder if he is lucky. Zico, Pele, Ronaldo and Garrincha definatly have the attacking places down.

Neither of whom shined at an international tournament like Rooney in 04.

I think Owen's goal scoring record could see him sneak a spot on the bench.
Yeah, he's decent but I'd take a lot of strikers over him. As mentioned Greaves, Lineker, Shearer, Lofthouse, Dean, Mortensen... I think Owen would miss out.

And Romario over Ronaldo everyday of the week. :pp
