this young player is currently co-owned by us and cagliari...if we want him back, we can do it anytime...so what are the chances of him coming back to play for us? probably not the upcoming season...maybe the one after next season when cruz leaves (perhaps)...imagine that balotelli and he play upfront together...he is only 20 and balotelli is not even 18...wow...the future of italian football...what do u guys think about him?

here is the interview...he stated that he wants to keep playing...which we probably can not offer him right now...and he should continue to play regularly to improve himself as a player...if he comes back this upcoming season, he would only serve as the 4th striker or even 5th behind ibra, balotelli, cruz, or even suazo...but i really hope he would come back...it's tough...i don't want us to regret to let go some young players...like pirlo...

You should leave him there for another season at least it's really a win-win situation. With him returning he'll be fighting just for a few mintue's here and there like Paloschi with us.His first season in the top flight and playing such a massive role in the Houdini act at Cagliari.

As far as I'm concerned, he is not welcome.

NO PLAYER NEEDS AN INVITATION TO PLAY FOR INTER- HE SHOULD DESIRE TO PLAY FOR INTER.

His refusal to even come here shows what kind of person he is. I don't want him.

Honestly all these young players should b loand to teams in holland because of the amt of slack marking there. for one season in holland is a training in finishing then return to serie a for another loan deal. then back to the big club

but acquafresca is a decent lookin player no doubt and a decent number 9

what i like abt him is that he is not like inzaghi but can actually run with the ball a bit like Ventola was but with even more ball control and dribbling ability.

remember the days of ventola when he was young.... what great promise....sigh.....

FORZA ACQUAFRESCA.....could b a decent striker....Balotelli Acqufreca Cruz and maybe Zlatan

not a bad four at all to start with

I think he said that because he knew he would be getting limited playing time. I agree with him, he needs a club where he can start week in and week out.

He said that in a way that means he's not ready to come back yet, and he feels that he should develop further with a smaller team.

Not "I hate Inter and I will never come back" kind of way.

I think his attitude is rather sound. Instead of getting a bloated ego and demanding a huge pay-raise and starting spot at Inter he realizes that he still has a long way to go.

Inter To Swap Acquafresca For Konko?
Internazionale are on the verge of signing Genoa wing-back Abdoulay Konko, according to reports…

The 24-year-old, who is part-owned by Siena, has impressed since his arrival at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, cementing himself as a key attacking outlet on the right flank.

And reports from Italy claim that Inter are currently locked in negotiations for the Juventus product, as they seek to increase their wide options over the summer.

The Grifone are demanding in the vicinity of ₤9 million for the Marseille-born defender, but Inter are prepared to offer Marco Andreolli in a part player-swap to drive down the price.

However, the Rossoblu are instead demanding highly-rated forward Robert Acquafresca, who had an impressive season on-loan at Cagliari.

Congelato Vieri, Cairo pensa a Cristiano Lucarelli o a Corradi.

Agent: Ownership Saga Halting Acquafresca Talks
Cagliari striker Robert Acquafresca will not be leaving until his ownership is properly sorted, according to his agent…

The 20-year-old scored 10 goals this season and proved vital in helping the Rossoblu secure top-flight survival.

The Italy under-21 international is one of the country’s hottest prospects, and has earned strong interest from a host of Serie A clubs.

Internazionale and Cagliari currently co-own the former Torino youth, making potential negotiations a tricky prospect as there would be four parties involved.

And Acquafresca’s agent Paolo Fabbri is adamant the ownership issue must be resolved before transfer talks can proceed.

"Well for the moment, in that regard, I have only had contact with Inter Milan," he said. "Previously, I had been contacted by several clubs like Atalanta, Siena and Parma.

"I also must say that until we resolve the ownership between Cagliari and Inter, it will be difficult to start serious negotiations."

Atalanta lead Acquafresca chase
Tuesday 3 June, 2008

Atalanta are in pole position to snap up talented youngster Robert Acquafresca, who could join them on loan for the next two seasons.

The striker is currently co-owned by Inter and Cagliari, with the Nerazzurri expected to sign him completely in June.

However, according to the player’s agent Paolo Fabbri the negotiations may take a long while.

“I believe Cagliari President Massimo Cellino will try to gain time. I don’t think they will reach an agreement soon,” said Fabbri.

“Atalanta are interested, I can confirm that. I cannot deny that the Bergamaschi are close to the player and have an advantage over other teams.

“But, the player will only go there if Inter sign him and can reach an agreement with Atalanta. Inter have got big plans for him.”

Acquafresca scored 10 goals in 32 appearances for the Rossoblu this season, and Inter President Massimo Moratti has great faith in him.

“The Nerazzurri told me that his future will be at San Siro, which is why they won’t sell him and will settle only for a loan deal. They have one specific request: wherever he goes, Robert must play as a regular.

“They want him to get as much experience as possible so that he can return to the club through the front door.

"Lazio have also shown an interest but since they already have Tommaso Rocchi and Goran Pandev I don’t think there would be enough opportunity for him to play regularly there,” concluded Fabbri.

Acquafresca’s Future Still Unclear
Cagliari president Massimo Cellino revealed that Roberto Acquafresca’s purchase will have to "go through the envelopes" as his side have proved unable to reach an agreement with Inter to sign the player.
