Well i think this is long overdue: We needed a thread for the national team independently from the games, so we can post any news or updates on the NT players when there are no games near.
For me, the NT is unlike any other thing, and in football it´s what i care about the most. It happens in every game, let alone when there is a final tournament. Lately, i´ve watched the world cups and euro 04 with interest but always thinking how we would have done if we had got one more point or one less ref mistake during the qualifyers.

So the next thing for the nt is the game vs turkey on august 22 but right now the destiny of many players like Tamas, Mitea, Chivu, Marica etc is being decided and that will certainly have an impact.

I'd like to see players like Ghioane, Lazar, Herea in the squad. They are the future and they can make our team even stronger.

Among the players who have to find a better team or a team at all, Tamas and Marica stand out. We need them fit and happy.

As for the National Team, as some of you might know, it is my only team and the team whose supporter I am and whom I follow with loyalty. The rest are just flings.

I've watched Mitea, and loved his game.
He's another Keseru generation all heart type player.
A shame Nicolae Mitea isn't the pernimant LM for Romania.

Mitea is a brilliant player, and i think he deserves some interest.
I have seen his Ajax games,
and i love his ability to run create a chance,
even better when a chance is hopeless, Mitea will run onto the ball
and either finish it, or create another chance..
We can really use a superstar like Mitea on the National Team..

he played like not more than 180 minutes last season and you consider him a superstar who should be in the NT??!!!
if he finds to his old form again and can confirm his talent than he could be definitely a very important player for the NT, but for now he doesn't deserve a call up and couldn't help us a bit. playing him on the LM position wouldn't work out, do you except rat, who isn't the best defender either, to defend the whole left wing alone?
