I got my hands on a tape with 2 hours highlights of the 1988/89 Bundesliga-season.

So many great players that ring a bell, so many teams in 1st/2nd divison who aren´t there anymore unfortunately.

The final table:
Code:
1. FC Tirol 36 24 7 5 78:36 39
2. Admira/W. 36 20 8 8 78:52 33
3. Austria 36 18 10 8 76:44 31
4. Rapid 36 17 7 12 67:40 29
5. Vienna 36 12 13 11 59:59 26
6. Sportclub 36 13 6 17 60:70 22
7. GAK 36 11 9 16 37:64 20
8. St. Pölten 36 10 9 17 44:68 17
Tirol winning it in their 2nd season with the legendary Ernst Happel.
A great team with team goalie Klaus Lindenberger, sweeper Bruno Pezzey :star:, Michael Streiter, Kurt Garger, Leo Lainer, Manfred Linzmaier, playmaker Hansi Müller, butcher Hörtnagl :), Heinz Peischl, strikers Christoph Westerthaler and Peter Pacult.

Of course sad to see First Vienna in the highest league 13 years ago and to compare it with our current situation.
Drabits, Vidreis, Ernst Mader (playing against us with FAC this season), Kurt Russ...

Herbert Prohaska in his last season with FAK, together with guys like Zsak and Degeorgi in midfield. Wohlfahrt, Pfeffer, Percudani, Ogris...

Admira had a great attack back then, Ernst Baumeister, Gerhard Rodax, Fred Schaub, Walter Knaller,...

Keglevits with WSC, Dihanich at GAK, Baric going to Sturm for the rest of the season and dominating the 2nd league with Walter Schachner, Otto Konrad+co...

And OF COURSE Hans Krankl´s wonders with Salzburg.

I probably forgot so many things that´d be worth mentioning.

Amazing season.

The fun about Percudani is, he joined FAK 3 month after he played the Copa America for Argentina. His striker partner was a certain Diego Armando Maradona...

So when coming to FAK, he first had to learn how to play next to a world-class striker (such as Andi Ogris) after he carried that loser Maradona through so many games. :)
