Avi Tikva was the first Israeli to start the 2003 season today in Young Boys' home game with Lucerne. Tikva played 76 minutes and was decent. Young Boys trailed 1:0 in 27 minute after Andre Moph scored for the visiting side. Young Boys equalised in 56 minutes with Thomas. However the official blew for a penalty kick in 88 minutes and Young Boys' new striker Stephan Chapuisat, scored from the spot, to put Young Boys 2:1 ahead, but the visitors stole a point when scored an injury time equaliser.

Grasshoppers lead the table after 4:1 at home against Will.

Not sure about his wages but only to add he was responsible for the setup to the second goal of his team. An additional detail that I find interesting: Young Boys have promoted a youth player, Brazilian goes by the name Ewerthon who used to play in the Israeli youth league.

In case you wanna know commie, Young Boys' official website says Heverton played for Maccabi Tel Aviv. But then again they also claim Arthur Petrosjan played for Maccabi as well while we all remember him from his Maccabi Petah Tikva days. ;)

His picture is there if you remember how he looks like. ;)
