In the New World FIFA ranking. For what it's worth I've already expressed my opinion of how unreliable this ranking is and nobody really cares for it, but since the last time we talked about the ranking was around last year I thought it'd be appropriate to update. ;) Hilarious to see countries like Trinidad and China ahead of us. :howler: :D

41 Finland 601 41 0 46 5
41 Trinidad and Tobago 601 35 -6 32 -9
43 Ukraine 595 44 1 45 2
44 Egypt 591 43 -1 41 -3
45 Chile 584 45 0 39 -6
46 Slovakia 581 49 3 46 0
47 Côte d'Ivoire 566 46 -1 44 -3
48 Peru 563 47 -1 43 -5
49 Greece 555 52 3 57 8
50 Australia 552 48 -2 48 -2
51 China PR 549 50 -1 54 3
52 Israel 547 51 -1 49 -3
53 Iceland 544 56 3 52 -1
54 Bulgaria 542 54 0 51 -3
55 Georgia 541 58 3 58 3
55 Scotland 541 54 -1 50 -5
57 Ghana 537 52 -5 59 2
58 Austria 533 61 3 56 -2
58 Jamaica 533 57 -1 53 -5
60 Angola 531 58 -2 55 -5

The complete ranking

In other news today it was announced that our friendly with Belarus was cancelled (not sure why) and instead we'll play away to Lithuania on August 21th. We've already played them once last year (won 3:2, our last victory as a matter of fact...) and were supposed to host them at Kiryat Eliezer on February this year but they decided not to come due to the situation in the area.

This is sad.....

I was expecting neutral in the 50's but now we are in a limbo..

Columbia, im not sure!

But we need to work hard a little bit from now on! We need to go atleast 38-41, before we play away in the Euro Qualifiers!

So lithuania is going to play us and Belarus isn't?? And the game is offical and going to be in RIGA (LATVIA) on July 21???? So that is like in..........18 more days!!!!!!

Grant!! WAKE UP!!!!

Do we get any points for playing friendlys in FIFA Ranking?

Yes we do get points for winning friendlies too.

I think this is a good preparation, we need some morale boost after the fallouts in Denmark and Germany and also Malta is a team similar to Lithuania I think.

It's almost a year since we last played a game on Israeli homesoil. :(

The FIFA rankings are the biggest joke in international football. Noboby takes them seriously except idiots of course. Just ignore them since they have no meaning at all. Typical FIFA incompetence..

Yep, I totally agree with it as I've already stated, just thought we need to keep ourselves updated. It is ridiculous since you get the same amount of points for beating Malaysia, Western Samoa and San Marino or Argentina, Italy and Brazil. Which helps teams like Trinidad or China reach so far for instance.

It's also based on past success, which helps Argentina and France, teams who crashed out from the WC in the first round to actually stay 2nd and third while Turkey who won the third place in the WC is only 12th (behind USA who lost one stage before Turkey).

its all arithmitics!!!!!!!!

Did you know that before 1994 World Cup, Germany was maybe 10 points up in 1st place. After the world cup they went to about 12 or 15...They really sunk it, big time! Big!!!!!!

As for now, the reason why there is so many teams who have sunk and are still in the top 5 is because there is so many teams from below. if the teams from below (like us, Jamiaca, Iran, Trinada, etc...etc...) was to also sunk and the only gainers are the new comers/the 100+ rankers than they would be jumping 20 points up and down like maniacs..

once again people..
thats the FIFA aritmitics 101!
