The last 30 or so minutes after Pele's cracker of a goal :shades: summed us up. LACK OF CREATIVITY.

We saw lots of the ball, Roma were retreating, but we had no ideas on how to break them down.

Anyway, 2 Coppe for Inter and 2 for Roma afterwards. Life is fair. :D

FORZA INTER! :proud:
Not just lack of creativity, but lack of technique and pace as well.

Its not just the complete lack of creativity that makes our play ridiculously predictable its lack of ability to turn up on tempo and make quick combination play in attack, its really ridiculously easy for any decent side to defend against us without too much trouble. We can cross and we can shoot from the distance, thats about it.

Our midfielders in particular sadly arent technicaly accomplished enough to play like this.

Slowest team on the planet.

Well you can afford to be slow-paced if you have someone like Pirlo, Riquelme or Deco - even Veron in decline made us flow. But no pace and no ideas..too much to bear.

Chivu upbeat in defeat
Sunday 25 May, 2008

Despite the final score, Inter star Cristian Chivu enjoyed last night’s Coppa Italia Final and feels that it could have gone either way.

The Italian champions failed to secure the double after losing out 2-1 in a single-game finale at the Stadio Olimpico.

But Chivu, who joined the Nerazzurri from Roma last summer, was positive in his post-match interview.

“It was a superb Final and it could’ve been a draw,” he explained on the Inter Channel.

“Roma suffered a lot under our pressure and if Nicolas Burdisso’s effort, which hit the bar, had gone in they probably wouldn’t have been able to fight back.

“For their second goal there was a foul on Cesar Aparecido that the referee didn’t see, but we shouldn’t get bogged down in useless controversy. It’s better just to say well done to Roma.

“It was a battle between Italy’s two strongest sides. We won the Scudetto, which was our main objective and they won the Cup and the Super Cup to show their power.

“We know that we ended the season with an excellent performance. Roberto Mancini wished us all a good holiday and a successful European Championship for our nations.”

Chivu’s Romania will take on Italy in the Group stages, as well as France and Holland.

“We are the real champions of Italy,” declared Sensi, with a message directed at the Nerazzurri.

This is why I love watching Pele. He is a fighter, he will never give up. :proud:

I've said it before, but I can't wait to see what Mourinho does with our NWA (Pele, Rivas and Balotelli).

I liked our match, congratulations to Roma as well who needed a trophy this season, not that happy it came at our expense, but we took the grand daddy of them all, so it's fine.

Forza Inter. No more Mancini. :excited:
our NWA?????

True, but even with a chimp in charge we would have won i recent years. The only difference would be, that the chimp probably could have won this years scudetto before the last match day...

Mancini won with Inter due to a far superior squad and due to the circumstances with the Calciopoli, not because Mancini is a good tactician. No point denying that.

Now that the league is back going strong there is a absolutely nothing that speaks for that Mancini with his serverly limited tactical knowlegde can bring anything more. Just look at the squad he has created :howler:, the most slow and predictable team in the world that is so unbalanced in terms of strenghs and weakneses that its laughable...

Mancini is a disaster, he needs to get sacked asap.

That's b/c of the squad. I don't remember Cuper having a squad full of two first team defenses, Vieira, Zanetti and Cambiasso in midfield....only the forwards were really world class back then
