Against Cyprus on Tuesday and the winner of Finland-Latvia on Wednesday.

Our squad:

Andreas Schranz (GAK/1)

Abwehr:
Anton Ehmann (GAK/8)
Ferdinand Feldhofer (Rapid/4)
Martin Hiden (Rapid/32)
Mario Hieblinger (FC Kärnten/8)
Andreas Ibertsberger (SC Freiburg/GER/1)

Mittelfeld:
Rene Aufhauser (GAK/22)
Andreas Ivanschitz (Rapid/10)
Markus Kiesenebner (Austria/5)
Roland Kirchler (FC Superfund/25)
Bozo Kovacevic (FC Superfund Pasching/5)
Dietmar Kühbauer (Mattersburg/52)
Stefan Kulovits (Rapid/0)
Sebastian Martinez (Rapid/0)

Angriff:
Mario Haas (JEF United/JPN/37)
Roland Kollmann (GAK/10)
Wolfgang Mair (Wacker Tirol/0)
Christian Mayrleb (FC Superfund/24)
Thomas Pichlmann (FC Superfund/0)
Ivica Vastic (Austria/42)

Auf Abruf: Michael Mörz (Mattersburg/0), Patrick Pircher (SW Bregenz/0), Yüksel Sariyar (FC Superfund/0)

4 new players. Good choices with Martinez, Mair and Pichlmann. Kulovits' call-up is something I don't understand though...

He's usually wearing a green and white jersey...

The tournament should be subtitled like "the useless tournament". Thankfully we'll have live coverage of the games by ORF. :wallbang: (Shouldn't all of them be in Bormio?) Those people who decide to spend money on that rather than buying TV-rights for UEFA-cup-games should be imprisoned for some time...

And after injured Dospel, Schopp, Standfest, Sick and Amerhauser, who weren't in the squad in first place, Kühbauer, Kiesenebner, Hiden and Feldhofer are out and replaced by Dollinger, Sariyar and Pircher. Almost a B-team again.

Yesterday on Dubai sports channel (seriously....) I saw a roundup on the Tiger-Cup 2004. Singapore won it. It is played in two games (Indonesia has 120 000 spectators in just any game, I was told) and I wondered if our B NT currently in Cyprus would have a chance. Not sure, definitely not sure..... :sigh:

I somehow like the Pichlmann idea though.

The Cyprus-game was absolutely horrible, that 2nd half was the worst I have seen in the last few years...
The 2nd game was much better, I liked Dollinger+Mair on the flanks, even Kovacevic as central defender was ok.

Cool. And as I'm unyoung enough, I was right there when Martinez scored in a packed Prater (at least I remember it that way, as a little boy). In the post game interview Martiniez said something like "Habe ich gemacht Augen zu und bumm. War drin"

:)
