20th January 1985 (Udinese Vs Milan), Milan's trainer Nils "Il Barone" Liedholm fields, for his debut in professional football, a young player that, IMO, shall be remembered as the best defender in football history, his name: Paolo Maldini (son of another Milan legend Cesare). For some strange reason his "greatness" has never been officially proclaimed, but "us" rossoneri Know his immense value. Together with Billy Costacurta he is the last "survivor" of a special "breed" known as : "Gli Immortali" or "Gli Invicibili".
Grazie Capitano

Jesus, 19 years since he made his debut?

Paolo always struck me as a special player, even when I was younger, & slightly less knowledgable about football. And his game was certainly helped so much by playing alongside one of the greatest defenders ever in Franco Baresi. Talking about a great defence, I'd actually forgotten about it.

How did Milan even lose games in the early 90s?
