A mediocre effort loses two points at home to FC Twente, 1-1. Berghuis scored with his secord PK after he was brought down after picking up the rebound on his first PK, which was saved. Not much offense until the very end, in stoppage time.

A 4-2 win at home against ADO Den Haag gives Feyenoord all three points although it was a struggle. Goals from the two centre backs Geertruida (Berghuis corner) and Senesi (amazing bicycle kick) brought Feyenoord back to 2-1. Narsingh scored the 3rd (Berghuis assist) and then a Berghuis PK.

Going down 1-0 early to Willem II in Tilburg, Feyenoord came back with 4 goals to win this 1-4. No PK for Berghuis, but he still scored 2 goals, with one assisted by Teixeira. Haps also scored off a Teixeira assist, and Linssen scored off a botched Willem II clearance. Feyenoord go top of the table on their 10 points, with a better goal differential (+7) than Heerenveen (+5). No fans in the stands in this viral shutdown by the KNVB.

Another fairly poor performance rescued at the end, 2-3 win away to FC Emmen. Marsman's poor decision making led to both Emmen goals. Diemers with a PK, Toornstra (Narsingh assist), and Bannis (Geertruida) were the Feyenoord goal scorers. Berghuis out with thigh bruise in the first half. Can't keep a clean sheet against a lower level side. When the second half of the season comes along, and we play Ajax, AZ, PSV, and Vitesse, it won't be a pretty picture.
