A bit icy from you. :D

Actually I'm a bit sorry for Flachi cause he is basically a retard. Well, he has a family, he should have some more million euros left (unless he wasted them all) so he can restart.

... so in the end **** off, Flachi, you and your ****ing cigarette! :D

I feel a bit sorry for him to be honest, but I still don't get why he didn't admit he'd done it in the first place. Cocaine in cigarettes? right....

At least it's better than Borriello's excuse. Or that guy who insisted that someone had tampered with his toothpaste. :undecide:

Former Sampdoria striker Francesco Flachi will resume his career at Empoli after a long ban due to a positive doping test for cocaine.

Former Sampdoria striker Francesco Flachi used to be a fan favorite at the Genoa-based club, but it seems he will not play with the Blucerchiati anymore. Flachi has been suspended since May 2007 after he tested positive for cocaine. Sampdoria subsequently canceled his contract.

His ban expires in January 2009, but the Florence-born striker has already found a new team to play for. Tuscan club Empoli, who were relegated to Serie B last season, have officialised the purchase of the 33-year-old. Flachi has signed a one-year contract with the club.

He will begin training at the orders of coach Silvio Baldini on 6 July when the whole squad reunites for the summer training camp.

Flachi has been found positive for cocaine again. His sample after the game Brescia-Modena on 19 December has been found to contain benzoylecgonine, metabolite of cocaine.
If the results of the second test confirm the results of this test then Flachi will be banned for life.
I'm sorry for Flachi, but this episode confirms the doubts on the fairy tale about the "cigarette" someone had given him when he failed the doping test at Sampdoria and was banned for 2 years.

Such a shame, another wonderful player who has ruined his career (hopefully not life) by this.

The last masterpiece of his talent, a scissor kick of course... few minutes before the test which will cost him the carreer.
Maybe that's not a complete coincidence..

Real shame to have his career ruined and, ultimately ended because of drugs. I'll always be grateful for what he did when we were in serie B, and he was the only creative spark we had for years.

If you love the scissors kick you will hardly find a player who scored with as many scissors kick as Flachi at professional level, at least in Italy, at least since I started to watch football.
