The NBA announced the new format for the Rising Stars Challenge will be USA vs World. I actually like this change. Perhaps it's a test that can lead to an All-Star change? There must be a minimum of three rookies and three sophmores on both teams and each team needs three guards, three big men, and two wildcards.

Well with how global the league went it's only viable to do so now, but yes a good change I guess.. an over glorified Nike Hoops Summit. I like it.

And as with the Nike Hoops Summit, I think the World's team is the favorites here.

Wiggins, Nurkic, Giannis, Mirotic, Bennet, Dieng, Gobert..they lack a bit in guard play though.

How do you think it would look if it was like that at the all-star level too?

M Gasol
Dirk
Bellineli
Ginobili
Parker

Bench: Duncan, Noah, Horford, Pau, Deng, Wiggins, Calderon, Vasquez

Not very impressive in the back court.

I don't know how I feel about changing the All-Star game to USA vs World. It would screw up the HOF comparisons a bit, because many guys would now be left off so future players would have many less All-Star games compared to previous guys.

cool...it will add extra dimension to it. I usually ignore the All Star Game itself which is mostly pointless showboating. But will try to watch the rookie one...

And of course it would be more interesting if the All Star games would be USA vs World although indeed it would screw up the historical comparisons.

I am heavily surprised durant was not voted in by the fans.
At end of day, with durant healthy...him and lebron are tier or two above everyone else.

World beat USA in the Rising Stars Challenge...tried to watch it but could stand it only 10 minutes...those exhibition games are so pointless and annoying when you can see it's just showboating...

Hope the West wins today but I think either Melo or LBJ will win MVP.
