Hello guys,

Do any of you know anything about our friendles? have we arranged any yet?

July 18 : official presentation of the team
July 19 - August 8 : training camp in Moena, Trentino Alto Adige

in Trentino Alto Adige there will be the usual friendly vs Monti Pallidi (a team of 1a categoria) on July 26 and vs Bolzano August 2 (a team of Eccellenza).

August 9 vs Sporting Lisboa at Josè Alvalade

August 10 return to Bogliasco

More friendlies will be added both while Sampdoria are in Trentino and later

this is what is great about Sampdoria participating in the European competitions, there is always a chance that they go and visit supporters around the world. I hope that this year we'll reach at least the first knock out round after the group stage!

Samp's holidays are over and the team are meeting tomorrow evening, spending 3 days at Bogliasco, then heading over to the training camp at Moena for a couple of weeks. The current squad is:

Portieri. Luca Castellazzi (19/07/1975), Vincenzo Fiorillo (13/01/1990), Antonio Mirante (08/07/1983), Davide Negretti (19/11/1991), Daniele Padelli (25/10/1985, Pisa).

Difensori. Pietro Accardi (12/09/1982), Hugo Armando Campagnaro (27/06/1980), Daniele Gastaldello (25/06/1983), Stefano Lucchini (02/10/1980), Jonathan Rossini (05/04/1989), Massimo Volta (14/05/1987, Foligno).

Centrocampisti. Gianluigi Bianco (11/05/1989), Gennaro Delvecchio (25/03/1978), Daniele Dessena (10/05/1987, Parma), Mirko Eramo (12/07/1989), Daniele Franceschini (13/01/1976), Vladimir Koman (16/03/1989), Marco Padalino (08/12/1983, Piacenza), Angelo Palombo (25/09/1981), Mirko Pieri (24/07/1978), Andrea Poli (29/09/1989), Paolo Sammarco (17/03/1983), Marius Stankevicius (15/07/1981, Brescia), Reto Ziegler (16/01/1986).

Attaccanti. Claudio Bellucci (31/05/1975), Emiliano Bonazzoli (20/01/1979), Antonio Cassano (12/07/1982), Guido Marilungo (09/08/1989), Mattia Mustacchio (17/05/1989).

As you can see, plenty of Primavera there to make up the numbers. No place for Kalu or Bonanni, who'll therefore surely leave, while Volta and Padelli are included, though I can see both of them heading out on loan again as well.

what is Moena?

regarding to team squad, i think they need only for a talented playmaker or decent striker due to any injury may happen to any one of them. good luck.

Moena is the resort where we've had our pre-season training since Garrone took over, and as usual Samp will be there for 3 weeks and play two friendlies there against Monti Pallidi and Bolzano before returning to Bogliasco.

samp needs to play stronger preseason games by the beginning of the next season.. in order to be ready for the serie a and their qualifying campaign of uefa cup.

That was what I thought too but probably the contract has been renewed cause it would be stupid from Sampdoria and Udinese to prolong the halfshare when the contract is expiring in one year. And yes, he is surely going to play on loan in the next season. Probably in a few days we will know in what club he will play.

EDIT: I have just controlled and the contract will expire in 2010
