Welcome back guys! :)

This month has seen plenty of positive progresses at the club, and also around this forum. This month we've seen plenty of new Pool members taking up their crests and announce themselves in the XT community. To them, I on behalf of the senior residents here (not that senior meself) would like to wish you all WELCOME ABOARD!!!

Let's get back to the main topic here mates ;) In the month of March, Liverpool FC has seen little activity on the pitch, although we witnessed 2 really great results on the pitch in the late days of the month, some bad news still managed to get out from the physio's room. Our games in this month we're very2 important, seemingly because it was our chance to close the gap with our currently over-performing neighbours :D Everton. Sitting a pretty 7 points ahead of us at the start of the month, going further ahead by 11 points, a rather pleasing turn of events saw us clawing that gap back to 4 points. Below is the matches we've had for month.

Mar 5 Newcastle 1 - 0 Liverpool
Mar 16 Liverpool 0 - 0 Blackburn
Mar 20 Liverpool 2 - 1 Everton
Mar 9 Bayer Leverkusen 1 - 3 Liverpool

When we lost to Newcastle, not many emerged from the game with much credit, even JC managed to get some negative criticisms. However, 2 names not really associated with good performances and solid contributions stood up in that game, and showed us that many of us were wrong. Pelle and Nunez stepped up and showed some raw grit and guts to stick it in when it mattered, although the rest of their teammates were perhaps too tired mentally to catch on to their new-found motivation. Pelle maintained his form in that Newcastle game throughout the month, covering for the injured Hyypia like we never had Hyypia injured at all. Although arguments rose against him claiming that Blackburn were never really a dangerous opposition, his performances in the Newcastle and derby games were more than enough to convince us that he's still have some left in the tank ;)

Many are on little Garcia's back 6 months into the season. He's wastes possesion, he wastes chances, he's too slight, he passes to nowhere and many more. 8 months on, the early comparison to King Kenny seemed ridiculous and absurd. But this month, he's displayed hunger and endeavour that was rarely seen from him in a consistent basis. His lack of presence up front was made up by hard-working tackles and marking at the back. He more than made up for the lack of contribution up front by showing his defensive disciplines in the early half of the month. By that time, many of us were acknowledging his contributions, while not actually singing his praises. Little did we all know that this little Blaugrana had more in his boots. his two goals in the demolishing of Leverkusen away, and his soldiering on in the derby has seen him rise up the ladder and straight into the Spanish squad to earn his first cap. About time, chap ;)

Besides the two imports making names for themselves, we have two players from the previous regime stepping up and providing further proof that Rafa is indeed, the man we've been waiting for. Local lad Warnock and big ol' Biscan were the ones who stepped up and cemented Rafa's growing reputation among Liverpool fans that he's a great man-manager. These two players have displayed determination and drive to earn themselves and extended run in the first team and not only that, proved why they are still at the club by contributing a significant part in turning our club's fortunes in the later half of the month.

So there you have it, the nominees for our player of the month for the month of March. Put on your jerseys and give a shout to the ones whom you think deserves our Player of The Month award for the month of March. If you feel there are names who are wrongly overlooked, please by all means, grab that mouse and give them a shout yourselves

Your host signing off :shades:

P.S: Dear FMs, would you please? :pp :D Thanks!
