Roma have signed midfielder Uruguayan International Gianni Guigou from National Montevideo for a fee of around £ 1.5 million.
Guigou has been targeted by Roma boss Fabio Capello to slot into his favoured 3-4-3 formation.

Giallorossi president Franco Sensi has also signed the French defender Johnathan Zebina from Cagliari.

Sensi has actually paid the fee for half of his ownership, with Cagliari mantaining a 50 percent interest in the player.

The 22-year-old defender, who will play next to Samuel in Roma's defence, played superbly last Serie A championship in a Cagliari shirt, and many Italian teams wanted to buy him, but he prefers to play his football in the capital town in the coming season.

2.I think that Cafu, Aldair, Batistuta, Zago, Guigou and Emerson (even Balbo if he comes) all have an EU-pass i some way. The only one that not have an EU-pass is Assuncao, Nakata and Samuel (and F Junior).
Cafu and Zago has Italian relatives. Batistuta and Aldair (and Balbo) has played so long in Europe that they counts as european. Emerson I think has an italian girlfriend or something like that and Guigou i don´t really know but i think that i have read somewhere that he has an EU-pass.
Tomic, Gourenko and Bartelt will be sold (or loaned out).

Aldair and Zago both have EC passports. That wont be any problem. That goes for Emerson and Guigou allso. What i know it's just Bati, Assuncao and Samuel that dont have an EC passport, so there should not be a problem.
