YES ... it is true ... a 15 year old BG player Bojinov has entered as a sub in the 70th minute for Lecce against Breshia ... the youngest EVER international player to play in Serie A ...

INCREDIBLE! I have never heard of this name before but it is simply outstanding ... GOOD LUCK, Valeri!

Well he is a very gifted stirker and has been like 3-4 years or more in the Lecce youth squad. I think he is son-in-law of the ex-Botev and Loko Sf defender Sasho Angelov, who is now in Cyprus or at least I think he is that player (bono knows this guy for sure) and he helped Bojinov to go in Italy and train with Lecce. Physically this dude stands very well he is some above 1,80, strong. I don't know hope that someone can tell us how he performed in his first game in Seria A. As far as I know this guy has great speed for his height and nice shot with both legs. Wish him health and more performances in the greatest show ever in calcio.
Otherwise there are other gifted players abroad like Sasho Mladenov (Stojcho's son) I have played a couple of matches with this guy he possesses good technique and plays mostly with the left foot. He is used as a left wing or central forward already made his appearance in the U21 team. The other I know is Georgi Andriov central forward. Both of them are in the youth squad of Herta. So I hope they make their first appearances in the Bundesliga soon.

About Bojinov he is actually only the 3rd Bulgarian to play in Seria A after Niki Iliev and Itzo. Again I wish him luck the only good thing we have in football is our youngsters :D

Just one thing to add his coach was just sacked hope that he doesn't lose the inertion he had come by goin back to the reserve team.
Besides, Gazzetta Dello Sport gave him 7 out of ten for this game. Or at least 7 dni sport mentions this today.

The great thing is this guy is so young and will get sth he cannot get at this age anywhere else but in one of the greatest championships (we all know it is N1 but lets just put it that way) ... I hope the change of the coach won't sffect him but we know that Italian championship is a routine thing like an industry - once you are in it is harder to be thrown out of the big game ... I mean, few games not mentioning a couple of seasons at Serie A team is the best thing you can have in your resume ;) ... then it is 100 times easier to find a job in any of the European big leagues ... and this is in the worse scenario that you are not succesful in Italy itself ... this is the reason I find this news extraordinary ... sipmly great ...

Bojinov will be in the group for the game vs. Juve thi week. Hopefully he will play for 3-4 minutes :)

Oh, I'm gettin excited about this guy. The BG media must leave him alone and not to mess with his performances on this early stage of his career, though.

Bye Bye.

In Italy, in Lecce he is already away from the bad influence he could get in Bg friends, discos, alcohol, cigarrettes, etc. So as u see he already works in the proper circumstances. :D

Yes, Valdano ... it is just fantastic for him ... at such a young age to make a debute in Seria A is just unbelievable ...

Hope he makes it again for next year and will just keep on working hard and keep his head cool! Great prospect I guess ...

Well sorry to dig this out, but it seems the good old Bono knew this talent really early, in 2001:eek:

I really hope Bojinov joining Milan someday, I won't mind him quitting Viola's bench to Milan next year. With the unknown fitness of Pippo and the likely departure of Amoroso, Bojinov could get a lot of playing time.

And he's a habit of scoring crackers and entertaining goals. Though his positioning and finishing are left to be desired, but I regard Gila-Bojinov the best young duo in series A football.

:)
