Mourinho forgives Cruz

Jose Mourinho has 'forgiven' Julio Cruz, but Adriano is still frozen out of Inter's squad to face Anorthosis.

Both players were removed from the side after a row with the Coach, as Cruz was guilty of failing to follow orders on the pitch while Adri turned up late to training following a night on the town.

Il Jardinero has seemingly been forgiven, as his name is back in the list for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Anorthosis Famagusta.

Adriano is still nowhere to be seen and has reportedly threatened to return to Brazil if the situation does not change.

Absent for the Champions League tie are the injured Cristian Chivu, Luis Figo, Luis Jimenez and Nelson Rivas.

NICOSIA (CYPRUS) - When he decides which player to take to the Champions League press briefings, José Mourinho always chooses a player who will be in his starting lineup. "I'm pleased to be here and I thank him," said Julio Cesar in Monday's UEFA news conference at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

The Brazilian was asked about his possible call-up to the national team in the week preceding Inter's home match against Juventus. He replied: "Like every other player, I hope to be called up to the national team because it's always an honour to represent the colours of your country. I don't know what will happen but I'm calm. Dunga will name his squad today and I'll look on the Internet before going to bed to see if my name is on the list.

"At the start of the season I told Mourinho that I would willingly have taken part in the Olympics but he replied that it was important to start preparations with the rest of the squad and I stayed with the team. Sometimes it's important for clubs and federations to agree whether to call up players or not for international friendlies, but these things don't depend on us players, who always want to represent our national teams."

Julio Cesar also commented on the appointment of Sinisa Mihajlovic as the new coach of Bologna, and the situation at the top of the Serie A table.

"I've been good friends with Mihajilovic since my arrival at Inter," he said. "We always stayed behind after training sessions to practice free kicks. Perhaps this chance has come a bit soon for him but I wish him the best of luck and I hope he does very well. I hope that we win when we face his Bologna, just like we want to do in every match.

"It's too soon to say who will win the Scudetto, there are still too many matches to go. Milan are a good team, we'll know more after the Christmas festivities. They have a strong group and the true values will come through as the championship continues."
