26.6.1992 Denmark won the European Championship in Sweden.

Those were the days, eh? I will never forget.

Hail to the players and Richard M. Nielsen who made it happen!

We can thank our beloved Brøndby for that too. Wasn't it 8 Brøndby players we had in the starting eleven? Oh and Faxe and Vilfort, who made the two goals, also played for Brøndby.

Yeah it's a great memory and I'm very glad to have experienced it :proud::).

Not 8 players!!!

you can't get credit for 8 Brøndby players!!!

maybe alot of the eleven players, used to play for Brøndby!!!
but they certainly didn't do it under the EM 92'
players like: Poulsen, Laudrup, Henrik Larsen, Sivebæk, and Peter 'the great Dane' played for Man. United, but YES he used to play for Brøndby...;)

Players who were or had played for Brøndby were:

Peter Schmeichel
Mogens Krogh
Kent Nielsen
Kim Christofte
Lars Olsen (Captain)
Kim Vilfort
John Faxe Jensen
Bent Christensen
Brian Laudrup
Lars Elstrup
Torben Frank

If Brøndby hadn't had that successful spell at the UEFA Cup in 91 - reaching the semis (going out cos of a stupid last minute goal from Völler) Denmark wouldn't have won the EC - the backbone of the NT was Brøndby players. Well illustrated by the 2 decisive goals in the final from Vilfort and Faxe (Brøndby loyals to this day)

No wonder back then people said "Brøndby ER landsholdet" (Brøndby is the National Team)
