Schalke's misery continues, at this point it seems like only a fluke can get them a win, few weeks ago they conceded in injury time to Augsburg to fail to win and today they lost at home to Bielefeld. Baum was sacked a few days ago, Stevens once again is interim but it seems they want to bring back Tedesco who announced he will leave Spartak at the end of the season (doubt Schalke can afford to bring him in early). Elsewhere at the big win for Bremen at Mainz who along with Schalke are getting cut adrift. Koln with a point at Leipzig and they have now gotten results at Dortmund and Leipzig in recent weeks, though not much else :D Hertha down there as well which is one of the major disappointments of the season so far
And Eintracht Frankfurt finally got a win, 0-2 in Augsburg. This is their first win since October 3.

And Bayern with a typical last second goal by Lewandowski to beat Bayer 1-2 away and climb back to first position with a 2 point advantage.

Schalke actually won a match, in the cup against 4th tier Ulm; Hoffenheim, Mainz and Union all lost to 2nd division sides all three at home as well

Christian Gross is expected to become the Schalke manager, a name I haven't heard of for a while, he used to coach Basel and Stuttgart like 10-15 years ago, he's been managing in Egypt for a while

Bo Svensson new Mainz manager, he played for them a long time and when he retired he was their youth coach for many years though he was most recently managing Liefering (Red Bull Salzburg's farm team in Austrian 2nd division). There are reports Hoeness is already on the hot seat at Hoffenheim, especially if they lose to Schalke who are closing up on Tasmania;s record :D

Schalke trash Hoffenheim 4-0 to earn their first win of the season AND push Mainz who lost 0-2 to Eintracht Frankfurt below them at rock bottom. Suddenly they just need 3-4 more points and for other results to go their way in the next matchdays to climb out of the relegation zone. Bayern's lost against Monchengladbach means RB Leipzig can overtake them at the top with a win against Dortmund.

That result will likely cost Hoeness his job at Hoffenheim. Gisdol is probably in danger too at Koln while Mainz now bottom and have been equally as bad as Schalke this season

For Dortmund it’s really a must win if they have any title hopes. Leverkusen and Union drop points at home in their top 4 chase with Union failing to hold on to beat 10-man Wolfsburg but apparently the penalty which resulted in the equalizer was soft

And Dortmund got that win, which means Bayern stay top with Leipzig still holding second. Glad to see Bayern lose their second match of the season. Wouldn't it be nice if they didn't win the league every season?

VfB Stuttgart with their 5th road win. If they could win a match or two at home, they would be much higher in the table. Freiburg are also surprising people. At least 5 wins in a row and they are now mid-table (8th).

Another shocker: Holstein Kiel drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal, and then won on penalties to advance to the 3rd round. BM is not so invincible this particular season.

And yet their competitors all pretty much dropped points today and if Bayern win in Freiburg tomorrow it will be a relatively comfortable gap again. Leverkusen lost at Union, Leipzig drew at Wolfsburg while Dortmund drew at home to Mainz. Hoffenheim's bad streak of results continue but they pretty much dominated Bielefeld. Somewhat going under the radar with the dumpster fire that Schalke is this season is Hertha's poor campaign despite the money they spent last two transfer windows

Yep continuation from last week, Leipzig lose at Mainz and Leverkusen lose as well, Bayern will probably win the title comfortably again despite not being their best, forget about Dortmund who can only win nowadays by a high scoring shootout it seems

Last months the talk was about who will go first between Hoeness and Gisdol, after today its going to be Labbadia, currently getting hammered at home by Bremen

Lots of surprises in the cup this season, three lower league clubs in the quarters including Essen who play in the 4th tier after eliminating Leverkusen. Dortmund also had big problems with Paderborn

Yeah, I saw that Bayer lost to that 4th Division side. But today, just a few days later, they kicked VfB butt 5-2.

Dortmund lose at Freiburg, things not going well under Terzic but the issues remain the same from past coaches, just terrible defensively and their goalkeeper isn't so convincing, will be a fight for them just to get into the top four. Big wins by Mainz and especially Koln who go to Gladbach and win. Koln create some separation with the rest of the pack, Mainz now only four points from the playoff spot. Union coming back down to earth a bit

Just watched Eintracht Frankfurt's 1-3 win away to Hoffenheim. They are in fine form now. Kostic with two great crosses in to assist on the second and third goals.

Bayern struggling a bit with the CL coming up and after their victory in the CWC, had to come from behind to rescue a point against Bielefeld conceding three goals in the process and now they lost to Frankfurt. Leipzig can move within two points tomorrow. Big win for Mainz at Gladbach who are playing much better this half of the season while for Gladbach its likely a fight just to make the EL (it was officially announced Rose will leave them in the summer to take the Dortmund job)

I saw the Eintracht-Bayern match. Eintracht are the current in-form squad in 1.B. They had all of those early draws, but are now on a winning streak. I like their midfield; Kostic has 8 assists so far this season. He is a very good crosser of the ball.

Unless RB Leipzig stay consistent and Bayern drop 2-3 more points until May, I can't see Bayern not winning the league again. The title race in the 2. Bundesliga is much more interesting this season, currently 4 teams are on 42 points from first to fourth.
