with adriano playing like this...a win is in doubt...a draw sounds more realistic. maybe inter will snatch a slight victory.

note: i dont mean to discourage inter as a fan.

Serie A Week 31 - 25/3/06 (17.00 UK)
Parma - Inter

Stadio Tardini

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter will be looking for only their second ever Serie A win at the Stadio Tardini as they travel to face Parma. In what is usually a hugely entertaining fixture both sides will be going all out for the win as they try and salvage something from another disappointing season. For the visitors that means catching city rivals Milan in the race for second place, while the home side just want to get as far away from the relegation battle as possible in the closing stages of the season.

Inter Coach Roberto Mancini’s biggest task will once again be to keep his players’ minds focused on the game at hand rather than the headlines from the newspapers. Adriano’s poor form this season has led to links with the likes of Thierry Henry, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and of course Ronaldo. Even Mancini himself has had to deal with rumours of his impending departure dominating the front pages.

More pleasing for the young tactician will be the return to form of Alvaro Recoba and Francesco Toldo. Recoba has been on top form in recent weeks, scoring two vital goals against Lazio while the veteran ‘keeper’s return to the team has coincided in a big improvement in the side’s fortunes. They have now gone five matches without a loss since Toldo’s reinstatement and have conceded just three times.

Parma will be pleased that they have managed to avoid complete catastrophe this season. While 13th position and eight points from relegation may not seem like much for a club of their stature it is a vast improvement on last year’s nail-biter. Coach Mario Beretta will now be hoping his side can continue their surge into mid-table and start to erase the memory of their relegation worries. They may be without the injured Matteo Guardalben between the posts, but with four wins in their last five matches things are finally looking up for the Gialloblu.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Parma: Bucci; Ferronetti, Cannavaro, Couto, Bonera; Grella, Bolano, Simplicio; Marchionni, Bresciano; Corradi

Inter: Toldo; J Zanetti, Cordoba, Materazzi, Wome; Figo, Veron, Cambiasso, Cesar; Adriano, Recoba

What curse man?!!!.....we have already broken our curse by beating Parma at the Tardini, three or so seasons ago
2002-03, on Oba's Serie A debut. :proud: We missed Vieri and Crespo in that match yet won 2-1. Parma were an excellent team back then too.

Hint: Someone better than Stankovic :D

Razman you made it so easy for me man! .........anyway the answer to your queation is Emre, who had an excellent season with us. :star:

P.S if i'm not mistaken, in the same season Emre scored a brace vs Lazio in a 3:3 draw.

They were two great goals as well....a lob over the keeper from about 30 yards out and a right footed shot from outside the box

Yes, he did score a brace against Lazio.
That may explain why Mancini hated him so much. ;)
