Halseara Who can decided these player in top list?
October 8th, 2018 02:17
Heroearaucano To me it seems a lack of respect that here position to Fabian Orellana in a list of the best players in the history of Chile. I do not say this for the player, it is good, I say it by the history, because as Orellana, Chile has had had 30 better players only in this position during your history.

You've heard about to David Arellano, Raúl Toro Julio, Iván Mayo, Francisco Molina, Ascanio Cortés, Isaac Carrasco or Leonardo Véliz? You should study more.
If I write a list I finish tomorrow and they would be all names better than Orellana or Beausejour, and I say it without undermining these players, that certainly they are good and very thecnical, but here we are talking about HISTORY.

The Spanish league currently does not have the quality of the Brazilian league of the 70s or the Argentina of the 40s or Uruguay 60s.

Europeans, stop looking at your navel.

5. Roberto Baggio
6. Giacinto Facchetti
7. Silvio Piola
8. Andrea Pirlo

But it's difficult to choose only 8 players from a country with such a great tradition as Italy, so that's my tops for each role:

GK's: Gianluigi Buffon, Dino Zoff, Walter Zenga
DF's (centre-backs and side-backs): Giacinto Facchetti, Franco Baresi, Gaetano Scirea, Paolo Maldini
MF's (attacking MFs and wings included): Gianni Rivera, Valentino Mazzola, Andrea Pirlo, Bruno Conti
FW's: Giuseppe Meazza, Roberto Baggio, Silvio Piola, Gigi Riva, Francesco Totti
No room for Maldini, Baresi or Sciera?
Any list without these three

Abbas Saad - my bad, I was under the impression he was given citizenship and later converted back to Australian.

Still, there are other players worth looking at. From the pre-90's era, there is Quah Kim Song. After that, other players that are more worthy (in terms of accomplishments and recognition) are Borhan Abu Samah, Rafi Ali, Nazri Nasir, Aide Iskandar, Ahmad Latiff, Steven Tan, etc. A newer player who is looked at as the best right now is Hariss Harun.

The ones who definitely belong in the list you already have are: Fandi Ahmad, V. Sundramoorthy, Indra Sahdan Daud, Lionel Lewis, David Lee, Malek Awab, Khairul Amri, Aleksandar Duric and Noh Alam Shah. Daniel Bennett and Shahril Ishak are good calls too.

Good spot. Still, someone answer my original question of wtf he's doing on the list.

It's missing players like Abbas Saad and Malek Awab. Players who contributed to winning the Malaysian League and ASEAN Cups should be there first and foremost.

This is like omitting Tevez for Mariano Gonzalez.

Ravelli is one of the most overrated Swedish keepers of all time, mostly because of the saved penalties against Romania in the world cup.

Several more current players are IMO a bit overrated here and I can't for heavens sake understand how Toivonen even made the list, I dont think he could make a top100 players of Sweden all time list. Sebastian Larsson?

I can't speak for players before 1980 as I never watched them.
corrected, SWE also
