How far can you kick a ball?

This point is often overlooked in the training of players but being able to produce accurate long balls is an important and crucial skill in the 11 a side game.

It depends... a still ball (like a goal kick) or a ball rolling nicely towards you. In the second instance, I can kick it far far away, but off a deadball I feel I don't get enough distance.

70 odd yards would be about right..

For a dead ball, that is. Provided it's not directly into the face of the wind..

Quite far, my goal kicks would go just about past the centre circle in the opposing half on what were big pitches in our league. My drop-kicks can go to the other box, but I prefer to be accurate rather than let the keeper catch them easily. I can get good accuracy on rolling passbacks to me as well.
