Rugby football

Sometimes play games with a rugby ball instead of a football.

Sounds crazy but you learn to appreciate the football more afterwards and it can help you get better and easy on the ball.

Played with a basketball on may occasions, but not a rugby ball. I can just imagine hoofing a long ball up to someone, who goes to chest it, and does so right on the pointy ends

In my old school, which was a Rugby School, we weren't allowed to use footballs at lunchtime in the playground, so we were forced to use Tennis Balls. This was pretty difficult, but we got by, and it definitely improved my ball control.
