Indoor Soccer

I was wondering if neone has good strategies for indoor soccer. I play on artifical turf about half the size of a full field. Its 6v6 plus a keeper

Quick passing, be patient, work off the ball, get into spaces, take your chances!

I'm an indoor GK, never scared though. Just today I got a ball in the face. Hurted like hell, but I continued to play.

I play indoor on artificial turf, too, only it's 5v5 then a goalkeeper. Like has been said, don't go for long balls. They work great in outdoor but in indoor it's quick passes that work it well. It's also a lot about 1v1, beating the man, and making it odds-on in attacks. Try tricks you wouldn't normally try, cause indoor is less important than outdoor. Then make a quick pass and make a smart run.

Have you tried in the "one eyed face" then?

Back to topic. Indoor football can be quite fun, but as the most of you I'm more fund of the real deal. Indoor and "original" football are two very different things - two different sports even.

Nope not yet, maybe tomorrow.

On-topic. I love indoor soccer, I love it better than the real deal. To play that is. I am made for this stuff. I am very good both playing and keeping, but there are not a lot of good indoor GK's so I am specializing on that. I am the perfect example of a playing GK, or a 5th player. That can be crucial indoors. You'll always have an extra man and an extra player to score a goal. I've scored over 10 goals already this season as a GK.

Unlike outdoor where you can show off a bit more, in Futsal you need to pass it quick a lot more.

Make Xtratime great again.

Ahhh...something else. Futsal and Indoor are totally different games too. In indoor with walls it changes it with crazy rebounds, bad passes turning good or vice versa, etc. etc., while in futsal it's a lot about having excellent touch because on such a small pitch the ball is fired at you from short distances so you really have to have great control.

1) Be careful of your ball control. Unlike a turf, if you make a wrong touch, the ball will spin wildly out of control.

2) Be aware that the goal is smalller. Yes, if you are hurrying back, its best to not man mark but crowd the goal b/c it is very hard to score in amateur play.

3) I find that passing doesn't usually work and you tend to end up playing a gung ho type of game, where you get the ball run down the field a bit and just fire away.

Yes but I have noticed that in America especially they confuse the games big time and dont really make a big distinctions since calcio in America aint popular.

i play in a league 7v7 (6 and a GK).

we play a 2-1-2-1 formation and it works well. It is all about constant movement and talking.

That's a lot of players. What size is the pitch you're on?

Try magic stuff. You look brilliant if it comes off, and if it doesn't, it's not that important cause it's indoor. I mean everything, not just doing a stepover, I mean pull out all the tricks.
