What are you aiming to learn? Judging on past threads, you're probably an attacking player, so you're probably working on taking them. I recommend if you're starting from nothing, you work on curling passes to your friends. This way you get used to bending the ball, which is vital for taking free kicks. Then you can start practicing on goal. A good way to tell if you can bend a ball out and back into the goal is to line yourself totally in line with the post, and work on bending the ball outside of the goal and back in. From this angle you can see the movement of the ball excellently.

Yeah, practice is vital.

Oh, and watch the best free kick takers in the world, and mimic them. Watch Beckham, Zidane, Mijhalovic...just watch them, see what they do, and replicate. Hey, if it works where they're playing...it'll work anywere.
