World University Games 2003

2003 World University Games ("Universiad") in Daegu, South Korea

Women's soccer tournament, Aug. 20-30, 2003

Twelve nations will send all-star University women's soccer teams to this tournament:

Group A - South Korea, Canada, Ireland

Group B - France, Germany, [?] (third team is probably North Korea)

Group C - South Africa, China, Taiwan

Group D - Japan, Mexico, New Zealand

Group Round - Single round-robin format:

Aug. 20 - First named team in each Group v. Second named team
Aug. 22 - Loser of first match v. Third named team
Aug. 24 - Winner of first match v. Third named team
-------------------------------------------

Playoff Rounds, August 26, 28 and 30

Third-place teams from each Group go into a consolation round:

Aug. 26 - A3 v. C3
Aug. 26 - B3 v. D3

The winners of these two matches will meet Aug. 28 to determine 9th and 10th place
The losers will meet Aug. 28 to determine 11th and 12th place.

So I recommend starting from their SITE MAP.
